Built an AI Follow-up System That Never Misses a Lead
Most businesses don't lose customers because of bad products. They lose them because no one follows up. I recently built a 24-hour AI follow-up system for a real bicycle business to solve exactly that problem. Here's what it does: ✅ Captures every new lead automatically ✅ Waits 24 hours before following up ✅ Sends a personalized email without human intervention ✅ Updates the lead status automatically ✅ Prevents duplicate follow-ups The result? Less manual work. Faster response times. No forgotten leads. A better customer experience. Why am I sharing this? I'm Risath, an AI Automation Builder . Right now, my focus is helping Salons, Clinics, and Healthcare businesses automate repetitive work so their teams can spend more time serving customers instead of managing admin tasks. Some of the problems I'm solving include: • Missed calls • Lost leads • Slow follow-ups • No-show appointments • Manual booking processes • Repetitive administrative work My goal isn't just to automate workflows. It's to build systems that help businesses save time, reduce operational costs, and increase revenue. 🤝 Open to Partnerships If you're an AI consultant, agency owner, or freelancer working with salons, clinics, or healthcare businesses, let's connect. I can help you deliver: ✅ AI Automation Systems ✅ WhatsApp AI Agents ✅ Lead Capture & Follow-up Automation ✅ Appointment Booking & Reminder Systems ✅ n8n, Make.com & ManyChat Solutions ✅ Custom AI Workflows You focus on getting clients. I'll focus on building reliable automation systems. If that sounds interesting, feel free to leave a comment or send me a DM. Let's build AI solutions that create real business value. 🚀🤝

Built an AI Follow-up System That Never Misses a Lead
Most Agencies Say Yes Then Google How to Do It
We just delivered $40,000 worth of work last month. An AI trading app for iOS. A full rental marketplace. A study consultant platform. Three completely different builds, three completely different tech stacks. And every single one was built from scratch. No templates. No outsourcing to someone who outsources to someone else. Here's what actually happens at most agencies. Client comes in with a custom idea. The agency says yes confidently. Then spends the first two weeks figuring out how to actually build it. We've had clients come to us mid-project. Burned by an agency that took the deposit and disappeared or delivered something that looked nothing like what was discussed. $40k in delivered work last month is not the flex. The flex is that every client got exactly what they asked for. If you have a custom build idea—an app, platform, AI tool, automation, or EA for trading—drop it in the comments or DM me. We've probably already built something close.

Impressive work! Delivering exactly what clients ask for is what truly builds trust. Keep it up! 👏
How did you find your first automation niche?
Personally, I'm starting local—restaurants, real estate agencies, tradespeople around me. Small market, real problems, fast feedback. Once it works, you scale. How did you start? Straight into a specific market or did you test multiple niches before finding the right one?

I started by testing multiple niches to understand where AI automation could create the most value. Over time, I found that service-based businesses like salons, clinics, and local businesses had repetitive tasks that were perfect for automation. Now I focus on solving real business problems first, then choosing the niche based on where I can deliver the biggest impact.
Why AI Doesn’t Remember the Way You Think
Most people assume AI has a huge storage memory that keeps everything you tell it… But the reality is very different 👇 AI doesn’t “store” information like a phone or a database. It works through a temporary context window. Meaning: It only understands what is present in the current conversation Once the session ends, it doesn’t automatically retain all details Long-term memory only exists if an external system is built around it 📌 So AI is not a “storage system” It is a moment-to-moment reasoning system The key difference: Storage = permanent retention Context = temporary understanding based on what’s currently available 💡 This is why real AI systems don’t rely on AI alone— they combine external memory + rules + continuous context management Question for the community: Have you been treating AI as a “memory system” or a “context system”? 🤔 #AI Email Agent (9/20/24) @Nate Herk

Great explanation! I think many people confuse context with memory. In my experience building AI automations, the best results come from combining AI with external memory, business rules, and structured workflows rather than expecting the model to remember everything on its own.
Who was your first automation client?
Who was your first automation client? How did you find them, and what did you automate first? Curious how others found their first paying customer. Did you pitch cold, use your network, or stumble into it?

My first automation client came through direct outreach. I reached out to businesses, understood their pain points, and demonstrated how AI automation could save them time and improve customer experience. The first solution I built was an AI-powered lead capture and follow-up system. It was a great learning experience and gave me the confidence to keep building.
