DAILY CIGAR NEWS DEC 12th
A lot to unpack in today’s cigar news: • Black Label Trading Co. shipped the first wave of Anathema Nocturne, a dark, late-year limited with intentionally tight distribution • Foundation Cigars released Charter Oak Reserve 2025, a serialized, Reserve-only expression with extended aging • Tabacalera Pichardo completed a dedicated small-batch rolling room to support limited and experimental blends • Nick Melillo shared insights on U.S.-grown tobacco, pointing to aged domestic leaf playing a bigger role over the next 3–5 years • The PCA released its 2026 booth-selection timeline, adjusting access for both legacy and boutique brands Why this matters: Between tighter allocations, more small-batch production, and deeper focus on aged tobacco, brands are clearly leaning into differentiation beyond simple wrapper marketing. Which of these developments do you think will have the biggest impact over the next few years?

I really like the smaller batches/limited releases. It gives us something to look forward to. It also allows us a chance to really tune our palate to the leaf, knowing you have to savor it or save it because of its limited availability. It's like the CAO Amazon Basin. It's limited release once a year and only so many boxes are rolled out. Not only is it a great smoke (in my opinion) but its unique in appearance, even down to its box. Because so few are released, many places only allow a 2/3 purchase max. I still have a few for 2022, 24, and 25.
My Father Fridays
I can pretty much smoke anything My Father. Today's morning coffee and stick paring is a tripple shot of espresso with a MF Blue. Not a bad way to start the weekend.

DAILY CIGAR NEWS (COMMUNITY DISCUSSION)
Big movement across the cigar world today: • Cavalier Genève officially rolls out its 2025 Project Broadleaf — the fourth and final Broadleaf release of the year • Powstanie Cigars drops the War Bear 2025 – War Bear of Mass Destruction, adding another collectible to the War Bear series • On the global production side, Raching Technology Group has moved into a larger factory facility — signaling serious growth in the supply chain • And in heritage news, Tampa’s historic Sanchez y Haya building has officially broken ground on renovation under J.C. Newman Cigar Company Why this matters: We’re seeing all sides of the industry moving at once — rare limited blends for collectors, international production scaling, and the preservation of true cigar history here in the U.S. Which of these stories are you most excited about right now?

The Sanchez Y Haya renovation is great news for the cigar culture. Places like it and Grand Cathedral Cigars are great places to experience that "Old Town Havana" feeling. When Castro took over lots of Cigar makers from Cuba fled to parts of south, and central America, even parts of Florida around the Tampa area. This is a big win for the cigar culture and industry. Can't wait to see what the place looks like when its finished.
Morning Harvest
So this morning I'm feeling a little gritty. Its Deer season and my family is full of hunters. Even my wife gets out in the woods. Yesterday evening we harvested a few deer, and now I'm starting my morning off by quartering and processing it. We've did pretty good this season. So today im paring my black rifle coffee with a splash of Butter pecan bourbon cream liqueur by Mossy Horn, along with a "Raw Dog" by Oscar.

@DaVon Walker they actually have a pretty good line of whiskey. That's how it found out about the coffee liqueur. Its distilled here in Texas.

I'm always on the road for work, so a good stick and cup of joe is the best relax & recharge combo for my mornings. Today I'm smoking a "Pig" by Definition Cigars and sipping a Columbian roast coffee from the loves gas station. I drink my coffee black and strong, so I really have no preference on whoes brew it is as long as its black. I tend to drink a lot of Black rifle company coffee though.

@DaVon Walker I've only tried two cigars from thier line, but the pig is by far the best one I like. I tend to keep a few in the humidor at home and travel box for the road.
