Hello, I’m Rio and I’m interesting in getting into car content creation across all major platforms. I’ve been passionate about cars as long as I can remember and I recently took a break from college to pursue a career as an auto technician. I currently have a 1995 Corvette that I will unfortunately be selling soon, a 2024 GMC Canyon as my daily, and a 1979 Triumph Spitfire I’m restoring.

@Will S I would recommend buying one with less than 100k miles and verifying that it’s been serviced properly as mine has been a Facebook marketplace headache. Some suggestions if you’re thinking about purchasing one: If you have the budget, aim for a manual 1996 LT4, but if you’re interested in a project you can build yourself, anything with an LT1 should be fine. I would avoid the automatic 4L60E and go for a manual because the auto is pretty sluggish and is only a 4 speed. Definitely get the Torqhead optispark replacement kit as it not only addresses a major point of failure on C4s but will also upgrade it to OBDII which will make any diagnosing so much easier. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask. I’m still a learning technician but I’ve been over this car many times lol. (Also the stock exhaust sucks but a quick and easy muffler delete helps a lot)
