Steiner's 6 Exercises - A 5 Day Journey/Challenge/Intro/Adventure
As someone who’s put themselves forward to teach Steiner’s 6 Fundamental Exercises (and other spiritual stuff) over the years, you’d think I would do them. And I do. Sometimes. And then life happens - either in my mind or in reality - and I fall off the horse (and land on a rodeo bull). I then end up being a bloke *thinking about* regularly practising Rudolf Steiner's Six Fundamental Exercises (while riding a bull) instead of ACTUALLY doing them. Can you relate or are you a very annoying perfect meditator? (If you are, do the right thing help the rest of us will ya??!!). Anyway, rather than waiting until I'm "back on top of everything" (which, like some self-created, well meant but illusory mental-state, never seems to occur for me), I've decided to begin again. But this time, if you’re up for it, I'd really like some company. So, over the course of five consecutive days (starting Sunday 5th July - ending Thurs 9th) we’ll explore these simple (and sometimes boring-yet-profound) exercises together. Not as perfect Steiner people with flowing garments and serious faces. Not as super-arch-angels. Just as ordinary, everyday spiritual losers (forgive me!) attempting to remember that we're actually capable of paying attention for more than 3 consecutive seconds (potentially, at least). In the past, I have actually had times where I’ve practiced these exercises “religiously” and they really did help me to: - Focus and have more sway over what I was thinking - Feel more emotionally balanced - Strengthen my will - See more of the good in every situation and person - Be more open-minded and less judgemental  …and that’s just the earth-bound effects. They are crucial to a healthy soul life, especially if/when we begin to have spiritual experiences which can really throw us off course. Who’s in? It’s free but it will (full disclosure) eventually be a (cheap) paid thing. We start this Sunday 5th July at 5pm (London time) Here's the link to join https://www.skool.com/live/pqrS4ws68dd

I can relate. But you can also make progress without the exercises. And without anthroposophy. For me it helps to see my own weakness (like you show here) in parallel with my own strength (in the extreme: I am the ruler of my universe). We need strength to conquer the weakness.
Impromptu coffee & chat sessions?
Hi all, A few people on this platform are doing these impromptu "coffee and questions sessions". It's just like jumping on a zoom call (with or without a hot drink!) and having an informal chat about spiritual matters. Just wanted to find out if that was something you'd be interested in? (just while I'm still getting this 6 week challenge organised). If so, what time of day works for you? Please Let me know what time zone you're in. Thank you! Mick

Love and opinions
“Love is higher than opinion. If people love one another, the most varied opinions can be reconciled — thus one of the most important tasks for humankind today and in the future is that we should learn to live together and understand one another. If this human fellowship is not achieved, all talk of development is empty.” Rudolf Steiner from Steiner’s lecture “At the Gates of Spiritual Science” (Lecture 11, Stuttgart, 1 September 1906) in the Collected Works (GA 95).

So make sure Anthroposophy as "opinion" does not block or reduce the love to others with other "opinions" ? "The soul must be able to say to itself: “That which until now has seemed to me to be my surest truth, I must now, on the other side of the threshold of the supersensible world, be able to consider as my deepest error.” https://rsarchive.org/Books/GA016/English/AP1956/GA016_c04.html?#:~:text=soul%20must%20be-,able,-to%20say%20to More radically: can you really love your enemy? Matthew 5:43-48 Love for Enemies “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
Passing the Threshold
Hi All, I look for a reference in Steiner's working showing that humanity as a whole started to pass "the threshold' (to the spiritual world) around 1930 (consciously or unconsciously). And I wonder if there is a reference saying that the spiritual battles predicted to find place between 2020 and 2040, may have to do with (the ending of) this process. Jelle van der Meulen, who wrote down Bernard Lievegoeds last book "The battle for the soul" (https://archive.org/details/lievegoed-bernard-the-battle-for-the-soul-the-working-together) writes in his last book about this. Any direct references to Steiner's work would help, or to other writers. Rick
