Collaboration doesn't have to be just online
I know whenever we think about collaborations probably the first things that come to mind are Bundles, Summits and Affiliates. But not every collaboration needs to be online or virtual events, some can actually be in person (I know, shock, horror... we have to actually leave our houses?!) 😱 As an introvert, I don't like to do a lot of in person networking or attending events, and I am now very picky about who I choose to be around (as some people or groups of people will drain me quicker than others). But, every now and then I choose to leave my house and actually go to an in person event. This week I'm in Noosa, Queensland (which is on the Sunshine Coast, north of Brisbane for those who don't know Australia well) for the Heart-Centred Business Conference organised by Tash Corbin. I'm in the same room with a bunch of people I aspire and look up to: Denise Duffield Thomas, Tina Tower, Leonie Dawson and my main reason for being here is to make local (Australian) connections so that I can make some friends in my own timezone lol So far, I've met some lovely people, some who I have followed online and some that I've never come across before today. Yes, I'm outside of my comfort zone, yes I'm exhausted (and it's only day 1)... but I am also excited and inspired - and sure, that can happen online with a summit or other virtual events. But there's something different about physically being in the energy of some people. So when you think about different collaborations that you'd like to be involved with, don't forget about in person events like conferences, retreats, workshops, networking - because these can be collaboration events too. They can increase your visibility, your community and your income - not just if you're just attending, but even more so as a speaker or host. I'll update this post with some more photos as the days go on, but for now... here's one from me taking a break in my room at lunch today! Photo updates: Natarsha Bamblett speaking about intuition
