I am also around Robert's age, and I am a semi-retired manufacturing engineer. Prior to that, I went to welding school (just after high school) and worked as a welder for 4 years. I like to work part-time now doing 3d printing, metalworking and fabrication. In recent years, I went to Athens Technical College to learn 3d CAD and my instructor got me interested in 3d printing. I also do volunteer work, currently at BikeAthens non-profit and I make devices for them too. I take care of my elderly Mom at our home and we have four cats; two of which are tri-pods, another has a mild neurological condition so she's not a good jumper or climber. I like to make small accessible cat trees/furniture for our cats. I have a small shop in our garage where I do metal and woodworking. I like to design stuff on Fusion 360 CAD (Computer Aided Design/Drafting). I do TIG welding too. My woodworking skills and tools are basic so I keep my designs simple, lol!
