KDPaste Chrome Extension
I am thrilled that @Maxime Lebrun , author of KDPaste Chrome Extension joined us today. KDPaste is a simple yet powerful tool that allows you to test your book covers against those of your competitors. Simply upload your cover to the extension and replace any book in Amazon's search results with yours. I am sure the extension will save you a lot of effort at the cover testing stage. Now you can thank Maxime in the comments! 😄

Amazon Removing Reviews + Review Permission Issue
Hi everyone, I really need some guidance from experienced KDP publishers. Amazon has removed most of the reviews on my current book, and on top of that, my account is now blocked from leaving reviews. As a beginner, I wasn’t aware that posting or receiving too many reviews around the same time could cause issues. My questions: 1️⃣ What is the correct, Amazon-safe way to collect reviews for my current book now, according to KDP guidelines? 2️⃣ For Book 2, what strategy should I follow so I don’t repeat the same mistakes? 3️⃣ Since many review platforms seem risky and Amazon keeps removing reviews, what actually works long-term without putting the account at risk? I want to do this properly and build my account safely going forward. Any advice, step-by-step strategies, or things to completely avoid would be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance 🙏

@Adriano Ferrigno That’s helpful context, thank you. In my case it may also have been the volume of unverified reviews. As a beginner, I mistakenly believed Kindle Unlimited reads counted as verified, which I now understand they don’t. I’ve stopped reviewing entirely and I’m focusing on keeping things clean for Book 2. I’ve paused BookBounty for now and am only considering platforms where reviews come from independent readers, without any reviewing on my side. I’m considering BookVillage only as a passive author (no reviewing). Do reviews on BookVillage typically appear as verified purchases on Amazon, and is it possible to request reviews from a specific marketplace?

@Adriano Ferrigno Thanks for the update, I appreciate it. I just want to clarify one point before moving forward. I’ve heard that creating another Amazon buyer account after a review ban can be risky, especially if Amazon links accounts through IP address, device, payment method, or physical address. From your experience, is this truly safe if done carefully, or does it still carry a high risk? Also, I understand now that being a passive author on BookVillage doesn’t really work since the system relies on mutual support. That makes sense. Lastly, could you share a bit more detail about the new service you mentioned for giving books visibility outside of BookVillage? How will it work, and what kind of promotion or exposure should authors expect? Thanks in advance — just want to make sure I’m taking the safest and smartest path forward.

100 Reviews in 45 Days. Easy Peasy
Why were we so confused about the reviews last month? I watched the clip and found that there's an easy solution. Okay, I'll save you 22 minutes. "Register on Book Bounty, and you'll have 100 reviews in your pocket in 45 days or less." It's so simple, realistic, and safe. Sometimes it's hard to find the right words to describe the experience of watching YouTube videos.

@Thomas Juuls Thanks for sharing, That’s useful to know I do have that the end of book But Just curious — Have you found it safe to include a QR code that takes readers straight to the Amazon review page, or do you prefer keeping it text-only?

@Thomas Juuls Got it — print with QR, Kindle text-only. That’s really helpful, thanks for sharing your approach 👍
Hi everyone, I’m the founder of BookVillage.pub
Hi everyone, I’ll keep this clear and respectful of the space. My name is Adriano, and I’m the founder of BookVillage.pub Today I had a long and very in-depth conversation with Igor, lasting about two hours. We discussed openly the current state of self-publishing, what is happening on Amazon right now, and especially the many things that are not working in the existing review models and platforms currently on the market. During the call, we went deep into the critical weaknesses of today’s systems, why many of them are starting to break under Amazon’s increased controls, and why they are becoming unreliable in the long-term. I also shared concrete and logical evidence of how BookVillage was designed specifically to address these issues and why it is intended to become the new reference point in this space. After that discussion, @Igor O kindly gave me permission to introduce myself here directly. I want to be very clear from the start: I’m not here to turn this group into a BookVillage promotion channel. I’ll be present to answer questions of general interest, especially around topics that are currently creating a lot of confusion and mixed information. For very specific or account-level questions, I’ll usually suggest contacting us directly at [email protected], or joining our official Facebook group, which we’re finalizing right now. That group will also allow anonymous questions and will help us collect and clarify the most common doubts people have at this moment. Right now, if you look around, you’ll find very few clear ideas and a lot of confusion, even from people who are supposed to guide authors. There is a noticeable silence around these issues, as if certain problems did not exist, while in reality many authors have already stopped using "review platforms" altogether because they don’t understand how to move forward safely. In my personal opinion, as someone who genuinely loves self-publishing and has been working in this space for seven years, too often the services offered to publishers are poorly structured or simply inadequate. It sometimes feels as if the main goal is short-term profit rather than providing real, well-built, and durable solutions that authors can rely on over time.

@Adriano Ferrigno I’ve been using BookBounty, but Amazon keeps removing the reviews shortly after they appear, usually within a few days of claiming bounty points. Unfortunately, my account has now also been restricted from leaving reviews. Could you explain how bookvillage.pub works and how it stays compliant with Amazon’s guidelines? I’m trying to move forward the right way and avoid further issues.
