I'd love to give a special shout-out to our newest membership mentor, Gemi Moon. Gemi recently passed certification in The Reverse Engineer (very difficult) and was asked to be a mentor for this community. Gemi is very talented in her own right, but she also has a lot of love and compassion for other musicians. If you book calls with her, you'll quickly find that she's not only helping you get better but also giving you a bit of joy and confidence in your day. She has that kind of energy! In addition to his mixing work, Joseph has served as a mastering engineer on records with critically acclaimed musicians and engineers, including Grammy Award-winning engineer Mack Major (PJ Morton, Tank and the Bangas, The Revivalists), platinum-selling engineer Mike Napolitano, platinum-selling musician and producer Jimbo Mathis of Squirrel Nut Zippers, and legendary blues harmonica player Charlie Musselwhite, known for collaborations with Tom Waits, Muddy Waters, and Eddie Vedder, as well as multiple Grammy nominations and induction into the Blues Hall of Fame. It's not supposed to be an exhaustive list, but more a curated collection, stuff that I've been using for years (plus stuff that I discovered in this community). Joining for my second fix-the-mix challenge and I noticed that Caleb and Jake have never touched on this topic, which really tends to distract from my mixing and takes up a majority of my time! Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've attached a photo to explain ;)
