Prayer is one of the greatest privileges we have as believers, but have we really considered why prayer is so important and the role it should play in our daily lives? 🙏🏾 WHAT IS PRAYER? Prayer is communication and communion with God. It is an opportunity to develop intimacy with Him, express our gratitude, seek His guidance, surrender our concerns, and intercede for others. 📖 Jeremiah 33:3 | Philippians 4:6 🙏🏾 WHAT PRAYER IS NOT! Prayer is not just something we do when we need God to fix a problem, answer a request, or change a situation. It is not about using impressive words, repeating phrases, or trying to convince God to do things our way. 📖 Matthew 6:7–8 | James 4:3 🙏🏾 WHY SHOULD WE PRAY? Prayer strengthens our relationship with God, helps us align our hearts with His will, allows us to bring our burdens before Him, and gives us the opportunity to stand in the gap for others. 📖 James 4:8 | 1 John 5:14 | 1 Timothy 2:1 🙏🏾 HOW OFTEN SHOULD WE PRAY? Scripture encourages us to pray continually, not just when life becomes difficult. 📖 1 Thessalonians 5:17 | Luke 18:1 HERE’S SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT… 🤔 We understand how important communication is in building and maintaining healthy relationships with people. So, why would our relationship with God be any different? Prayer should be more than something we DO. It should be part of how we LIVE! 💬 LET’S CHECK OUR PRAYER TEMPERATURE! 🌡️ Looking at the thermometer, where would you honestly place your prayer life today?
