The first week!
Hello everyone! I’m excited to have you all here. I know it has been crickets over the last month, but that’s going to change. This week will be a “soft” launch as the first week. I say “soft” because I’m going to be heading to Puerto Rico for a business trip, so I won’t be going live this week. Instead - I’d love to have a few other goals for y'all this week! 1. Introduce yourselves! Let’s get to know each other. 2. Read the pinned “Check Here Out First” post and get to know what the group is about and check out the guidelines. 3. Comment below what day and time would be best for you for a LIVE session where we can chat about questions you might have around nervous system regulation, burnout, Brainspotting - or anything that might come to mind if you’ve seen/read my podcasts or newsletters! Which if you haven’t checked em out yet, I’ll be linking Hustle Rebels Podcast and the Weekly Recharge this week 🙌🏼 Also - I’m even open to a better suited community than Skool 💁🏻‍♀️ Frankly, I find it a bit sterile, so if you have better ideas, send em! I’m all ears.

The first week!
WELCOME! Check here out first 👀
If you're here, you're probably tired of running your life like everything is a five-alarm fire — and equally tired of being told to "just slow down" or "relax more". This community is about understanding your nervous system, questioning some of the bullshit we've learned about productivity and worth, and building a life you don't constantly need to recover from. And having a damn good time while we're at it. Because healing doesn't need to become another fucking job. START HERE 1. Watch the About video. It'll tell you why this place exists. 2. Head to the Classroom and watch the Brainspotting video. That's Tool #1. 3. Introduce yourself. Who are you, and what's one thing burnout or constantly being "the capable one" has cost you? THIS PLACE IS FOR YOU. I have ideas for how I want this community to run — Monday is this, Tuesday is that, topics, tools, conversations, all of it. But if it's not working for you guys, I want to know. Want more of something? Tell me. Something isn't landing? Tell me. There's something you want us to talk about? Tell me. Because what the fuck is the point if you're not getting anything out of it? I'm also planning a weekly LIVE session, likely Wednesday afternoons. There's a poll up for the days/times that work best for everyone, so go vote (by that, I mean just commenting below you preferences...). Lives will be recorded if you can't make it. I want those sessions to be less "Renae talks at you" and more actual conversation — questions, real-life shit, things you're working through, and whatever comes up around what we're talking about that week. THE GROUND RULES Don't be an asshole. Disagree, question things, have opinions. Just respect each other. What's said here stays here. No screenshots, sharing someone else's story, or turning their vulnerability into your content. Ask before coaching. Sometimes people want advice. Sometimes they just want to say, "Today fucking sucked." No unsolicited promos — including DMs. This is a community, not a promo fishing hole. Don't join conversations looking for clients or slide into members' DMs pitching your shit. If someone asks what you do? Cool. Otherwise, don't.

Introducing Dori "Like the Fish!"
Yes, that's how I introduce myself to others. A couple of years ago I walked up to a group that included someone I had met at a previous event. I introduced myself as "I'm Dori." And SHE said out loud to the group: "You forgot to say 'Like the Fish!'" So now I say it every.single.time and people usually remember meeting me. 1. Who are you and where are you from? 👤🌎 ...Austin, Texas where we love weirdness, bbq, cowboy boots, live music, and tacos. 2. What do you do in the world? 🦄 ...speak, train, and coach on communication skills, complaint free teams, leadership presence, and transcending overwhelm. 3. What is your next BIG goal? 🎯 ...to raise consciousness in the world by improving conversations and the mindset shift it takes to show up more thoughtfully in relationships at work, home and life

Hi Dori! 🐠 I've only been to Austin once... and I still want to go back for the live music aspect! I've been told it far outweighs Nashville 👀. I also LOVE how you describe your goal - raise consciousness by improving conversations - such a beautiful way of viewing how to improve communication. Looking forward to learning more and all that you contribute! Where can we find your work and how you help others? Please share if you'd like! :)
Introductions
Hey there. Welcome to the shit show. Jkjk. I'm excited you're here. I'd also love to hear more about you. I may know you already, I may not - but either way, there's always something more to learn about someone. 1. Where are you from? 2. What do you love doing? (whether it's your career or just passion, up to you!) 3. What's a lovely, strange fact about you? As for me, for those of you who don't know, I'm a Buffalonian who currently lives just outside of Boston, MA. I spent the last decade being a firefighter paramedic before these darn keto noodles I ate (because I was a product of the diet and weight-loss culture) caused an unexpected emergency surgery where an acute bowel obstruction caused me to go septic quite fast... this led to another urgent surgery a few months later, which required a lot of "down time" where I wasn't allowed to move around a lot - which revealed some pretty terrible herniated discs in my back from not treating my body so well (and probably deadlifting 300lbs improperly). After seeing a chiropractor to help the discs, I lost function in my right leg and had complete numbness and significant pain (who woulda thought you could have numbness and pain...) in my left leg. This led to back surgery, revealing that the chiropractor had not only worsened the discs, he ruptured them, causing pressure on my spinal cord. Three surgeries in 18 months. All that to say, I had a LOT of time during recovery to think... and ruminate... and I realized that I had been giving away my power, time, and life to a system that never gave back. Whether it was work, the healthcare system, or other people, I realized that I was burned the f*ck out from not living the life that *I* was meant to live. I was sacrificing myself to a system that was relying on me continuing to give, while I was burning myself to the ground - no weekend could revitalize me, no vacation could help me feel better, no amount of money I made could make me feel more successful - my nervous system was fried and I needed a change.

Hi everyone! I'm Christina and I am no stranger to wellness and inner healing, however, brainspotting is new for me. I actually picked up a book about brainspotting a few years ago at the thrift. Now I shall read! lol Renae is a true GEM and has so much to offer beyond this community. I can't wait to learn more from her wisdom, experience, and just awesomeness.

Helloooo dear friend! No way that you found a book on Brainspotting while thrifting! That’s awesome! Thank you for introducing yourself ❤️ popping the board cherry. I promise there’s more to come as I’m working on building my Skool community and content. Excited to share and learn all together! Welcome!
