I have been a Covid-avoider since the news of the virus first hit, and in about June 2020 an ICU nurse in Florida--who I'd followed since she tweeted what ICU wards were like--recommended a personal powered HEPA filter, which I've worn in crowded venues ever since. But I let my guard down over New Year: we had a small gathering where one guest had a cold, and I took the garbage out without my mask, and ran into a group of young party goers... And I got sick... Four negative RATs later, I'm confident it's not Covid. but it has taken the wind out of my sails. I'll be able to give this week's lecture (I gave last week's while strongly affected by whatever this is), but I might fall behind on adding to the curated readings. That said, I'm looking forward to giving this week's lecture. I'll be showcasing Minsky for dynamic modelling, as well as explaining the mathematics of complex systems (in as simple a way as I can). I just hope that I've got some of my old energy back by then!
