I want to clear up a common misunderstanding about the credit repair process. When a negative account or collection is successfully removed from your credit report, that does NOT automatically mean the debt itself is canceled or forgiven. ✅ Credit report removal = The account is no longer being reported on one or more of your credit reports. ❌ Debt forgiveness = You are no longer legally responsible for the debt. These are two different things. Our credit repair service focuses on challenging inaccurate, questionable, or unverifiable information being reported on your credit reports. We do not cancel, forgive, or eliminate your legal obligation to pay a legitimate debt. Even if an account is removed from your credit report, the creditor or collection company may still attempt to collect the debt if they have the legal right to do so. Example: You have a $3,000 collection on your credit report. If that collection is successfully removed from your credit report, the $3,000 balance does not automatically become $0. The removal relates to credit reporting, not necessarily whether the underlying debt is still owed. 📌 Remember: Removed from your credit report ≠ debt forgiven. If you’re unsure whether you legally owe a specific debt or what your options are regarding repayment, settlement, or collection activity, consider speaking with the creditor or a qualified attorney. Osama Care does not provide legal advice.
