Typical Patient Journey
Day One – Initial consultation - Patient is welcomed in and we explain what we are about, and what we try to achieve in our clinic - History, physical exam, and if warranted, x-rays are taken - Patient is booked for their ROF if possible the next day. Day Two – ROF - Patient is welcomed back - Exam findings are explained and explain how we came to the decision on their recommended treatment plan. - Set expectations on outcome and expectation - Get consent and start the first visit Where I fall short is patients leaving between 6-12 patient visits due to either not gaining the expected results or feeling good to the point where they believe they don’t require treatment anymore. I believe this is due to a breakdown in communication and potential lack in table talk getting patients to trust and understand the process, and benefits past symptom relief.
