Eg I’ve seen people with fake clean home backdrops a lot which feels inauthentic to me, but recognise as a home it’s lovely not to be too sterile with some personality to it. Would love to know your thoughts.

@Jason Benson whiteboard is a great idea to share models or teaching points with your audience. I started back in the day with a flip chart as that was what I was most comfortable with but with two growing kids threatening to take over my office space if I give them an inch I’m thinking that I now need to evolve into a more purpose built space to record videos, hold meetings etc.

Glad to start to see some content on here and thanks for your message the other day Jason. How long have you been coaching for? And what are some of the most impactful trainings that you have undertaken?

@Jason Benson love that Jason. And you also get flesh out the key topics for a practical coaching the coaches course whilst you’re doing it! It’s a great model and as you say by working together we can all scale and grow in a supportive environment. For me, I would feedback that I would grow my confidence in the value of this group by also seeing your progression. I think you’ve successfully created a space that has so far brought 83 coaches together, of varying skill bases. It’s time now to hang up the baby yoda night time jumper and look the part of the expert skool leader you’re becoming. Whether that’s a black tee shirt or a shirt n tie, your branding is also important to the success of this collective. I’m also conscious you’re likely working in varying time zones, but pop the heating on and dress for the Ted talk now! 🕺☺️
## Overcoming Imposter Syndrome: A Guide for New Coaches in 3 Simple Steps
Imposter syndrome is common among new coaches and can stem from several factors such as self-doubt, the pressure to succeed, and comparisons with others. Here’s why it happens and how you can overcome it in three simple steps: Why Imposter Syndrome Occurs: 1. **Self-Doubt**: New coaches often doubt their abilities and question whether they are qualified to help others, especially when they are just starting out. 2. **High Expectations**: The desire to succeed and meet high standards can create pressure, making new coaches feel like they are not good enough. 3. **Comparisons**: Comparing oneself to more experienced coaches can lead to feelings of inadequacy and the belief that one is a fraud. How to Overcome Imposter Syndrome in 3 Steps: 1. **Acknowledge and Normalize Your Feelings:** - **Action**: Recognize that imposter syndrome is a common experience among new coaches and many successful coaches have felt the same way at some point. - **Tip**: Talk to other coaches about their experiences and realize that these feelings do not reflect your actual abilities. 2. **Focus on Your Strengths and Achievements:** - **Action**: Make a list of your skills, strengths, and past successes. Reflect on the positive feedback you’ve received from clients or mentors. - **Tip**: Keep a “win journal” where you record all your achievements, no matter how small, and revisit it whenever you feel self-doubt creeping in. 3. **Take Action and Build Confidence:** - **Action**: Start coaching, even if it means beginning with a small group or offering free sessions. The more you practice, the more confident you will become. - **Tip**: Set achievable goals for your coaching practice and celebrate each milestone. Gradual progress will help build your confidence over time. Additional Tips: - **Seek Mentorship**: Find a mentor who can provide guidance and reassurance. - **Continuous Learning**: Invest in your professional development through courses, workshops, and reading. - **Positive Self-Talk**: Replace negative thoughts with positive affirmations and remind yourself of your capabilities.

Hi guys, I think these headlines above are really helpful, if anyone would like to bounce off their thoughts and ideas specific to your own situation or get help drilling down into the actionable steps to get you to each milestone, I’d be happy to help, if time zones allow. Please message me and we can set up a completely free zoom meeting for 30 minutes to support you in creating a step by step plan. I can also share specific tools and techniques if you come up against limiting beliefs or behaviours which could knock you off your path. Which you could also then potentially use with clients with the right training and insurance. Hope this is helpful. Cheers, Rebecca
