General Perspective
I have a general question and I would love to have some feedback from users here. My question is about a “viewer” perspective on YouTube and the general content that we can access and which is flooded with A.I. generated (more and more) content, sometimes about subjects or topics that “could” be interesting but that becomes way too much “artificial” to even discern if the information is true or simply B.S.! So, does it mean that most “YouTube creators” are only there to captivate attention without really thoughtful and true information and how someone can start a channel and be genuinely authentic in what or why she or he really want to accomplish? Is the real goal of having a YT channel to eventually “monetize” or is it just “pie in the sky”?Or maybe just having a sincere goal of presenting “good and honest” information is enough to use YT as a simple marketing tool? Just asking! Thanks

Here’s the reality... You’re not wrong to question it. There is more AI content now, and yeah, a lot of it feels kind of shallow. But honestly, the bigger issue isn’t AI. It’s how people watch stuff in the first place. Most people treat YouTube like it’s automatically true. They watch one video, maybe two, and think they’ve got the whole picture. That’s usually where it starts to break down. The platform runs on attention, not accuracy. So there’s always going to be content that sounds good but doesn’t really say much. AI or not, that part hasn’t changed. What actually matters is how you approach it. If you’re just passively watching, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and you start to feel unsure what to trust. On the otherhand, if you’re watching with a purpose, it works differently. It becomes useful. Here's what I do: I don't ask "“Is this creator authentic"... I ask “Is this helping me do what I came here to do?” If it is, I keep watching. If it’s not, I hit the back button and watch another video! :) The people who actually get something out of YouTube aren’t just watching and trusting everything. They’re filtering what they hear, cross checking things against other sources, pulling out what’s useful and ignoring the rest. And creators… yeah, some are clearly chasing money. But that's NOT new! It's always been there, especially on YouTube! But there are still people putting out solid, useful stuff. You can usually spot them after a while. They’re consistent. They don’t promise the world. And when you try what they say, it actually holds up. So no, YouTube isn’t broken. It’s just… louder now.
How My Channel Finally Got Monetized (After Months of Doing It Wrong)
When I first started YouTube, I thought the key was just posting videos non-stop. So I uploaded, uploaded, uploaded… and still wasn’t growing. Views trickled in. Subscribers came slowly. And monetization? Felt like a distant dream. Here’s what I was doing wrong: I was creating videos I thought were good, not what my audience was actually searching for. My titles and thumbnails were an afterthought. I wasn’t giving YouTube’s algorithm a real reason to push my content. Then I came across an expert who broke it down for me: YouTube isn’t about posting more, it’s about posting strategically. Research what people are actively searching. Craft titles & thumbnails that trigger curiosity. Structure videos so viewers stay engaged longer. Once I shifted to this approach, everything changed. Watch time shot up. Subscribers started rolling in daily. And eventually… I crossed the threshold and got monetized. The crazy part? It wasn’t about working harder, it was about working smarter with the right system. Now every video I publish feels like an asset that keeps growing my channel — and my business.

Man, this hit close to home!! I built a whole system around that exact lesson. :) By simply making sure every campaign starts with the viewer in mind, not just what I think will work. It’s crazy how much time you save once your message actually lines up with what people care about! 😎
