n8n said Succeeded and nothing had been saved
I built an in-house meeting-notes form that checks a submission in n8n, writes to Google Sheets and posts to Slack. The first test came back Succeeded. Nothing had been saved. The test had filled both the transcript and notes boxes. The form allows only one. Validation rejected it, posted an explanation in Slack and stopped. The green tick meant that path finished without an error, not that a row existed. I tried again with only the transcript. This time Google Sheets returned 403. The n8n connection used my personal Google account; the Sheet belonged to the company. I made a new connection using the company account rather than sharing company data with my personal login. I also added failure messages in Slack explaining the step that failed and whether anything was saved. At the time I wrote this up, these were test runs, not live use. Which saved record do you check before calling your workflow successful?

Welcome. Start here.
Welcome. One true story to start. We ran a task agent on 10 real calls with every write switched off. It made 35 decisions and cost about 25 cents. The run found two problems before anything was written: a teammate missing from the team list, so 4 tasks had no owner, and a bug one step upstream of where we were looking. That is the kind of thing this group is for. Your turn: post something that worked in the demo and then stalled. One paragraph, one number if you have it. Rules: 1) real numbers or say you do not have them yet, 2) no pitching, 3) a person on every send, 4) be specific about what broke.
