Mindful / Magical Cooking
Bringing your everyday Magical Practice into the Kitchen is a simple thing to do, and can also help with mindfulness. As discussed the other day, what we put in our food can be more than just about the flavor. Different herbs and spices can be added for their magical properties as well. So let's take that to another level. Adding MINDFUL INTENT in the kitchen is another way to turn a simple meal into a Magical Working. 🌿 Adding each ingredient in a purposeful way, focusing on their unique properties and purpose for being used. Even stating them outloud as they are added. Just as you would for any other type of working. 🪄 If you adhere to the belief that direction of movement matters and can enhance intent: Stirring counter/clockwise while being mindful of intent can help focus various energies into your cooking. 🕰️ Clockwise for drawing things to you: health, luck, prosperity, joy, calm etc 🕰️ Counterclockwise for drawing things away from you: Illness, unwanted energy, stress, etc 🍽️ You can also take a moment to focus intent into what your cooking directly, much like any other working. Close your eyes for a few seconds, focus on the intended energies incorporating into the meal. As you eat, do it in a slow, mindful way. Knowing that each bite is more than just nourishment for your physical body. There are so many ways to bring your practice into your kitchen every day. What's your favorite?

I can tell you from experience that how I feel about preparing a meal definitely affects how the food tastes. Same ingredients, same recipe, the intention is the deciding factor on how the food tastes.

@Donna Conrad I remember a girl from my Pizza Hut days, whose dough NEVER came out right, because she hated making dough. All she had to do was to throw the ingredients in and push a button on the dough mixer.
