As a freelancer, the problem you want to have is having more quality projects than you can handle. Which means that you have to diversify your methods of landing clients. Your network is one of the most effective ways to get qualified leads that want your services, you must develop business relationships with others. Who to have business relationships with? Start with your previous clients, always check up on them if they need anything (paid or something small and free), this will strengthen the relationship and makes it easier for them to suggest you to their network. Also consider developing business relationships with other freelancers in your service or in adjacent services, they can get you projects or you can take a load of their work and get paid for it. Also consider joining groups and going into business events where your services can be needed. What matters is that you always keep your name in people's minds, so that when they, or someone they know needs something you offer, they can quickly refer you.
