depends on the music for me, in ambient i play with melodies a lot before doing any bass or groove around it.... in psytrance i usually start with kick and bass followed by percussions and drums to get a groove going before getting into crazy noises and melodies....

"How Do You Overcome Creative Blocks?"
Hey everyone! I wanted to start a conversation around creative blocks. We’ve all been there—sitting in front of our DAW, knowing we want to create but feeling stuck. I’ve found that one of the most powerful tools for me in these moments has been kundalini yoga. I've found it gets me out of my head and into my body and the more I practice consistently the more I find myself having access to flow states. For those unfamiliar, Kundalini yoga is a practice focused on awakening energy and aligning mind, body, and spirit. For me, it works like ‘tuning’ my instrument—not just my body but my creative self. It clears the mental fog, opens me up to flow, and connects me to deeper creative inspiration. There's a ton of resources and simple kriyas and flows you can jump right in with on youtube. If you're looking for a deep dive I suggest checking out the homie Jai Dev at Life Force Academy https://teachings.jaidevsingh.com/. I love their 40 day challenges and power practices. I'm curious—what do you all do when you hit that creative wall? Have any of you tried yoga or other practices to help realign and break through? I’d love to hear your experiences or suggestions. Let’s share some tips and help each other stay in that creative flow!

i go walking in the forest a lot if im stuck or sometimes also just pull out any synth which i dont use much, to explore new possibilities and play around which weird effect chains.... also it happens, that i go thru my sample library randomly and pick some sounds, stretch them to pieces and see whats happening.... or i play with the kids ;)
What 3 words or phrase do you what your music to convey?
Only 3 words! Distill your vision into a simple directive (and emoji for fun). Mine is: Watching the moon. 🌙

Hi im Ralph
oi, im Ralph and produce electronic music since 25 years. grown up in a small town in the black forest with a classical background playing trumpet and guitar for a while, than the teenage rock n roll time kicked, founded a rock band and failed, hehe...than i experienced eletronic music on some point where i started several projects like rastaliens, braincell and other collabs since than...and still cruising around to play psytrance, chill music and some techno influenced stuff. later i became a beta tester for ableton and now i do work for bitwig and other software companies, from sound packages to testing software or making content for them.I also do workshops for musicians as one-to-one sessions and help people to achieve their goals.......beside that i love modulars and all that makes bleep and blops and have blinkin lights, and travelling the world, playing music on electronic music festivals and such... would love to learn more about anything which helps to improve the production skills ;)
