Just got home from Engineerfest London at Strongroom Studios!
Hi everyone, I've just got back from the most amazing 4 days at Strongroom Studios in Shoreditch. It was great to meet the other students, and to put real faces to the mentors, rather than just Zoom images. The sessions were informative and fun and it didn't feel like learning at all but, of course, we learnt loads. It doesn't matter where you are on the Music Production journey, just starting out or a professional looking to hone your skills; nor does it matter what type of Mastering.com membership you hold, everyone just bonds together and supports each other. I've attached some pictures from the event and showing some of the new friends I made. 🙂 If there is an opportunity for you to attend one of these, don't hesitate, you won't regret it!! 🤩

@Dave Reisig It was Dave, if you haven’t been, definitely consider the next one near you. If you have been, maybe consider going again. I am, but probably not until I’ve got a bit further into the TRE syllabus. 😊
Cheat sheet - posters, mousepad, plugin?
Which would be the most interesting to you, to compliment the cheat sheet binder? I know some of you probably want all of these... but pretend you can only pick one :) Brief explanations: - Gaming mousepad would be a large 31" by 12" mousepad that takes up your whole desk - Regular mousepad is self explanatory, probably 9.5" by 8" - Poster would be standard size, roughly 24" by 36" - Plugin would be the digital cheat sheets but in plugin form, so you add it to a plugin slot to easily pull up the cheat sheets, maybe with some additional features like clicking on certain things to pull up the relevant video, or clicking on frequencies to hear them etc

Cheat sheet - posters, mousepad, plugin?

I’d prefer the poster. My desk/ worktop area is already too crowded with stuff, even with a 27” monitor another open plugin is the last thing I need, but a poster on the wall right next to me , that would be great to glance at as I needed reminding 😊

@Rob Mayzes Watched it last night on YouTube Rob - it is excellent; informative and a comprehensive explanation of everything ‘Saturation’. Would recommend it to anyone wanting to fully understand the application of, and effects from, this somewhat mysterious Plugin. 👏👏👏
Biggest question?
Hey guys, I'm going to film some content in the next couple of weeks based on the comments to this thread... What's your biggest question right now? I'll film a short video and answer with demos inside the DAW. May not be able to get to all questions. Thanks!

@Ralph Galetti no, if there’s a mistake- that’s my typing! Thought I’d proof-read correctly before posting, but I’ll check thanks. And thanks for the kind words of encouragement😊😊👍

@Ralph Galetti That's a relief! I'm not on Spotify - in fact I haven't even got a subscription 😂. That's another job to do , but I think I''ll want to remix and remaster the old stuff first.
Logic Pro:
I am using logic pro for the RRS intensive and I have all of a sudden have 2 tracks that there is not volume and no waveform showing. I am seeing it show up on the graph in ProQ4 but I can not get any sound .I have researched and tried everything i could and there still is not output. Checked channel output, input, core audio, in and output and nothing seems off. Anyone ever run into this problem. It seemed to happen just all of a sudden. Any help would be appreciated.

Well I was going to suggest this. Assuming it’s your Mixing project, I’d re import the 2 offending tracks and replicate all the settings, but you seem to have cured it anyway. Could have been just a glitch in Logic 🤷‍♂️😊
