Share 5 things that are working in business and/or life
A few days ago, John Bejakovic wrote an email outlining what's working for him right now... in business and in life. Then he sent out an email prompt (for those who are subscribed to his Daily Email Habit) with the same. Reading his "what's working" list was interesting, so I figured I'd share mine... and maybe turn it into a prompt for you guys, too. What's working for you right now? In your work/business... or in your life? Make a list of 5 things and share with us! (10 is better, but may be overkill for a community, so let's go with 5 for now, but feel free to come up with 10 ideas for yourself... usually the longer the list, the better and more revealing they are.) I'll start 👇

1/ I've discovered that I should spend more time developing tools for me and others. It's something that I enjoy doing and I'm pretty good at it, getting better. 2/ Daily email is not quite there 6 days a week is what my routine is, and I'm sticking to that. 3/ Repurposing my emails to blog posts on multiple platforms and to video. I'm not sure what to do with the videos yet. 4/ I'm about to get back to riding the bike. I've been restricted while recovering from surgery, but times up and I'm back to me exercise regime. 5/ I've just made a Kaizen Coach tool. I don't know how it's going to work yet, but I'm hopeful that it will make the changes I want to make easier. The real stuff starts tomorrow.

@Maliha M it is a pretty cool. It still has a couple of bugs to iron out, but it's going to be great.
What are you working on?
What are you doing this week? Any offers, posts, lead magnets, client work? As for me, I'm trying to wrap up some of the bonuses I promised to my brand new yearly Vault members, writing the first Medium story in a while, and prepping for the offer workshop I'm doing on Thursday. Share yours? 👇

How much can/should you share in a community?
In John B's group, @Gc Tsalamagkakis shares something interesting that I've been wondering about for some time myself: How much can or should you share in communities? For example, if you have a quick update, you may go to social media and share that. For those of up not on social media (at least, not in any meaningful way), where is that quick update place? I don't want to just share a quick one-liner update in my emails... But now that I have this community, I can come here and share updates. And honestly, that would be cool, and I want my members to share their quick wins and updates, too! What I don't want is people posting whatever that has nothing to do with their business or writing... it has happened in the past when I removed the user... but it feels icky to do so... Anyway... you are the members of this community and you get to choose what the community should look or behave like... what are your thoughts???

Great question. Throwing my hat into the ring. Personal stuff - not so much, unless it has bearing on why you've been quiet, or unable to contribute. However, some of that is fine so that others get to know you a little better, but that is better in your profile. Work-wise - asking for help, talking about what you did and how it worked, what you're planning. Overviews is best here unless you get asked for details and then perhaps a DM is a better option.
Substack / e-mail marketing options
Hi! I hope this is "not" the wrong place to ask... I've read so many interesting people around here that I thought some of you could have an angle here. I started using substack recently because it doesn't charge you to send emails and it already has people that can find you. My idea was, from the beginning, to use it to keep a mailing list of people I could eventually try to convince to sell them my course... and I admit I did NOT read the TOS (I just assumed it said pretty much what anyone else says)... Yesterday I found a couple of people complaining because substack has started to suspend "lots" (?) of people for posting links within their posts... like: "I can't even link to my book? how am I gonna tell people to find my book to buy it?" THEN I read the TOS and yes, it says there that substack is NOT meant to be used for email marketing... so, I am probably already violating the TOS with my occasional mails, since I am trying to sell outside of substack. So... alternatives? Now, a blog... yes, I know people is divided in between: "blogs are dead because people don't google anymore, nonetheless read", and "blogs are ok"... and you need to do some SEO (which substack lacks, anyway) Then there is LinkedIn... which also has people there who might find you... but I "think" has a character limit on your text. And of course there are mailing services, highly cost mailing services... which is what made substack attractive to begin with. And, having a blog means you need to create a lead magnet for people to be willing to share their emails... So, yes... more work... (what can I offer for free if most of what I do online is already there for free on YT?) I have also noticed some people have started communities like this one, and it seems like a nice way of keeping people around, but I find it somewhat hard for people to want to join anoooother platform (login + psw), and then remember there is this platform, and then engage there... and even though I am in different skool communities now, it does not seem to be a place where people are trying something like the email marketing stuff... so, maybe it is not what I am looking for either?

@Cinthia Reyes you're welcome. It's not complicated really, I write the email in UpNote, then just copy paste to the different platforms.

@Cinthia Reyes no, I used Convertri and Convertri sales pages don't link nicely to HTML forms. Kit is integrated so it works seamlessly.

In general, AI generated copy only looks good to people who don't write copy. It's kind of a little better than they could write, but nowhere near what a good copywriter can produce. Sort of like the vanilla copy that a junior copywriter can produce on their first draft.
