It’s time to get serious. Read This entire post❗️
Here is my plan for the new year and I want YOU to do it with me! I’ve got over 250 people here in this group, 90% of you are either completely inactive or just popping in but not interacting. I understand for some of you this may just be a hobby but for those of you who want it to be a career, this is for you. If you’re serious about getting fabrication you need to act like it. If you want to be successful at it you have to make it a priority. See where you’re spending your time, that’s where your priorities are. So what are you telling the world? That you want to be a professional video gamer? A professional Netflix watcher? If I came and watched you for a day would I think you were serious about getting better at fabrication? If the answer is no that’s ok, we all start somewhere, but the time to start is now. In 2026 i’m going to drop my first how to weld course that will teach you how to become confident in welding steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. I’m going to share everything I know with you and do live Q&A calls to help you if you get stuck. I’m gonna put all my effort into helping you level up your skills but if you don’t put in just as much effort you will get nowhere. If you want to get better and are ready to commit don’t wait for my course to come out, getting better is on you with or without my support. So start now, for the rest of the year make one post per week getting help to improve or just sharing your work. I want to see that you’re committed so that I know you’re worth helping. Comment below “I’m In” And make your first post to guarantee that you’re going to be in the 10% and not the 90%

I’m in. I completely agree with you. But anyway - there would always be tourists, or spectators. As you said - everything depends only on their own decisions. 👍

Wonderful! Ive made few removable half-cages. Its some serious job to get everything nice. What tools did you use for getting the best cut for connections?
Thoughts on these practice passes
Made these last Friday, #16 cup, 35CFH, 60 amps, 3/32 thoriated tungsten. 1/16 308 stainless plate, 1/16 308l filler. I’ve been tring to control my penetration on thin materials. I know the passes aren’t perfect and I’m welding on plate not a joint so it isn’t best case scenario. The pass on the other side wasn’t made by me, just used scrap steel others used to practice. My favourite is the one in the middle.

These are my welds in school. First picture is maybe third time holding a TIG torch. First times i wasnt welding, i was building my tungsten sharpening skills. 😄

@Vincent Tremblay Yes. As my teacher said: At first you will become good tungsten sharpener, and only after that, will become a welder. 😄
R33 GTR Manifold 🏎️
Got to start welding on the manifold but I have to send it to the customer to test fit since there are a few things we are afraid will be tight. This delays the video by a week or so but better safe than sorry! 2” SCH 10 321 stainless 100 amps on the machine using pedal 3/16 knife edge bevels 1/16 347 filler rod 18 seconds post flow no pulse 1/16 2% lanthanated tungsten #19 furick cup @40 cfh

You have amazingly steady hand. 💪🔥 Also welds start-stop points are wonderful! 👍 And about test fitting - oh yeah! I suggest everyone not to rush their process. Everyone will be happier for slower process than for some problems which definitely will take longer and more expensive to fix. 👌

@Grant Pratt Yes. This reminds me my native saying. Translation could be “I wanted it to turn out as the best, but it turned out as usual” 😄 Especially with re-doing. It will never be as wanted.
R33 GTR Manifold Progress
Making good progress on the 1000 HP R33 GTR Turbo Manifold. This thing is getting maximum effort towards perfection. Spent 6 hrs on one runner to get it right. Around 30 hrs in total so far into it. Youtube video coming soon to teach you how to build manifolds like this!

@Grant Pratt My question was about why did you prefer to make it like this, which is also fully functionable, but not with inner thread so you can attach threaded diffuser. In short - my idea would be that with diffuser i would need less argon for max gas coverage inside runners. I believe that with diffuser, gas is spreading more evenly, so it pushes out air more efficient.
