Here's why everything your AI designs looks the same. Without a reference library, Claude is guessing. Not just at the page layout. At the buttons, the cards, the effects. Every element is a guess. So I finally paid for 21st.dev. Six bucks a month, and there's a free version. Right now I'm going through the catalog and saving what I actually like into folders. Badges. Filters. Pricing pages. Cards. Testimonial structures. It has a CLI, so Claude Code gets access to those saved folders and pulls from them when it designs instead of inventing a button and hoping. If there's a cure for AI slop, it's this. The rest of my stack for this: godly.design and awwwards for inspiration. I keep a Google Doc of the CTAs and heroes I like and hand it to Claude. Impeccable and Taste, the two GitHub repos everyone uses to spot AI slop. I don't run them as is. I pulled them apart and built my own commands out of them, so before Claude shows me any design it opens it, flips mobile to landscape, screenshots, criticizes and fixes. And a rule set. No Inter font. No gradients here, here and here. A designer in my Insiders community also dropped beui.dev, mostly free, and I'm checking it out. I think everybody building with these tools should go through this exercise. What's in your design stack?
