Introductions!
Hey everyone! I’m Raina and currently reside in WA state. I’ve been wrapping for a little over 5 years now. My love for the craft came from playing Minecraft with my husband and collecting minerals in the game, to wanting to do it in real life and of course I needed something to do with all of these rocks I suddenly had, so I picked up wire wrapping 😂 I’m most excited to relearn the fundamentals of wire wrapping because I really jumped around a lot in the beginning and didn’t “perfect” any of the basics so I feel like I need to start over and really get a feel for structure and how to properly design my pieces! My biggest struggle is genuinely just trying to design my own pieces and not having the basic elements down. Like, I can follow a tutorial perfectly fine, but when to comes designing and making my own jewelry, it never comes out how I intend and it gets really frustrating. I’m hoping by this time next year I’ll have a better time being able to do that and maybe even do a prong setting for once 😂😂😂 Thank you so much for this opportunity!

@Jennifer Reece thank you so much! I honestly don’t remember how I got it to stay, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it ended up falling out. It wasn’t super structurally sound but it was cool to do at the time

Hi everyone. I'm Yvonne, located in Maryland. I've been wire wrapping since last September. I'm excited to learn the reasons behind the design choices.

That’s beautiful! I love the stone choices as well 😌
Biggest challenge with the craft currently:
A few. 1. I have envy. I see beautiful work and I want to be able to do it too—like now! 2. “Wasting” wire makes me anxious/guilty. I have trouble allowing myself time and material to practice and get upset with my ever-growing scrap/reject pile. 3. I can’t “see” shapes and designs. I can’t draw and so I have difficulty visualizing shapes ahead of time. I guess if I learn some basic shape techniques I’ll be able to better plan a design.

Yes to all three! I used to spend so long scrolling social media to look at everyone else’s beautiful jewelry and feeling like I would never be able to do stuff like that, so I didn’t try. Especially hate not being able to visualize things, sometimes I sit at my workbench for hours just trying to figure out what to even make
Welcome to CraftyFingas Academy
Well hello, beautiful people, and welcome to CraftyFingas Academy! 🖤 If you're reading this, you're officially part of something we've been building for a long time, a place where wire wrapping and gemstone setting aren't just taught, they're lived. Ashley and I have 30 years of combined experience between us, and this Academy is us handing you everything we know, one lesson at a time. Before you dive into the courses, watch the video above, it walks you through how a lot of CFA works, from navigating the community to understanding our teaching philosophy. Here's what to expect inside CraftyFingas Academy: A learning philosophy built on muscle memory, we believe real skill comes from repetition, patience, and paying attention to the details most people skate past Courses that build from the ground up -wire anatomy, tools of the trade, construction and design philosophy, and technique-specific breakdowns like Gemmy Sidewalls and the Sacred Scarab series Weekly and monthly challenges - a chance to push your skills, get creative, and connect with the community (check out Week One, it's live now!) A community that celebrates your growth - no judgment on where you're starting from, only support for where you're headed. This isn't a "watch and forget" kind of course. It's hands-on, it's real, and it's meant to be worked through at your own pace - messy first attempts and all. So settle in, get comfortable, and let's build something beautiful together. 💫 Comment below and introduce yourself - we'd love to know what brought you here and what you're hoping to create.

I’ve been wrapping for 5 years now and have even sold some pieces but I still feel like I don’t have a good solid foundation of basic techniques or how to flow things together cohesively. I’ve followed you for a couple years and am inspired by your pieces so I’m excited to dig into to the classes you have here. 😊
