"What if I tell everyone I'm writing a business/self-help book and then..."
"... I never finish it?" "... it's not good enough?" "... I run out of things to say?" If you've ever had thoughts like that, you're in good company. Every writer I've worked with has had them, including me. But once you know who your book is for, what transformation it's going to take your reader through, and what belongs in each chapter, writing suddenly feels a lot less overwhelming. That's exactly what we're going to work on in my free webinar/workshop. We'll talk about the mindset hurdles that stop so many people before they even begin, and we'll work through a live planning exercise together, so you don't just leave feeling inspired, you leave with the beginnings of your book mapped out. Your Book Won't Write Itself: Let's Fix That It's free, it lasts an hour, and you can choose whichever July session suits you best. Times shown below are UK (BST) times. 📅 Thursday 16th July – 10:30am 📅 Wednesday 22nd July – 6:00pm 📅 Thursday 30th July – 10:30am I'd love to see you there. @Faith Adebayo Once you've got a plan in place, it becomes easier to structure the shape of the book, expand your idea into a full synopsis, and plan out the chapters. From there, it's a case of filling your containers with lovely writing (which also becomes easier because now you know what to write in each chapter!)
Free one-hour interactive workshop this Thursday...
...for coaches, consultants and experts who have a book in them and are ready to get it out! If you've been meaning to write your thought leadership or personal development book for longer than you care to admit, this workshop/webinar is for you. Most business books never get written, not because the person didn't have something worth saying, but because they never had a clear plan, a structure that made sense, or permission to just get started. Let's fix that. Three dates to choose from in July 2026 starting Thursday 16th One hour of real teaching and Q&A Free to attend Online via Zoom Join my free Skool group Write Your Business Book for dates and registration!

Not sure if you're ready to write your book?
Forget free PDFs and throw-away business cards. Writing a business book, especially a self-help/personal development book, will help you to help hundreds more clients and bring you a lovely warm audience. But where do you start? Come to one of my free workshops in July. I'll walk you through the process, we'll do some fun exercises together, and you'll leave with a concrete idea and plan. Bring a notebook and pen or an open document, and any book writing questions you'd love to ask. Not sure if you're ready to write your book?
I had a 30-minute discovery call yesterday...
...with a lovely lady wanting to write a self-help/personal development book. She came to me after spending eight months researching how to write it. She’d read books on the subject, completed an online course, listened to dozens of podcast episodes. She knew about chapter structures and ideal readers and book proposals and self-publishing timelines. But she hadn’t written a single word of her actual book. What she needed wasn't more information. She needed someone to look at her specific idea, her specific expertise and her specific reader, and help her work out exactly where to start. Luckily, that's what I do. If you're in a similar place, collecting information but not making progress, the Write Your Business Book community is exactly the space you need to be in.

@Ashley Jasper Styles She wasn't even researching her own book, more "how to write" and "how to get published" kind of stuff. When we dug deep, we agreed that was probably a form of procrastination. She was scared of actually starting to write it: "What if it turns out to be too hard and I can't do it?"
Wow! This made my day.
My brilliant business friend Michelle Thomas featured me in her Front Row Pass email today, and I'm buzzing about it! Michelle wrote her book, Radical Happiness for High Vibe Humans, with me a while back, and this is what she had to say: "Rachel turned twenty years of chaos in my head into an actual book. She gave me structure, momentum and belief when I wanted to quit. Six weeks later Radical Happiness existed. If your book lives in your head, she gets it out." Michelle, thank you. Truly. And now, because she's put such a lovely spotlight on it, I want to tell you about what she was talking about. Your Business Book: Planned Together is my four week programme for business owners who've got a book bouncing around their head and no idea how to get it out. Live coaching, a brand new workbook, WhatsApp support, and a chapter by chapter roadmap you'll actually want to follow. There are 12 founder spaces open right now. Actually 10, because the first 2 people hopped straight in. We'll be doing some free pre-work together next week. Doors close midnight, Friday 31st July. We start Monday 3rd August. If your book has been sat quietly gathering dust in your head for months (or years), this is your sign. Details are in the Write Your Business Book community - it's free to join!

I live on a Christmas tree farm in Somerset, UK, with my dog, Sox. I love walkies on the beach, a nice cup of tea, and writing books.
