Running out of runway with Anthropic
I am completely out of usage capability until Weds night when my weekly use rate resets. In the interim, Fable 5 use got extended and I have outstanding compute I need to work on. Here's what I asked in Claude Chat where I still have limited use available, and here's what Sonnet replied with: why is anthropic trying to drive people away from using their ai's? I have tokens available on my max plan but no ability to use them as i've run out of weekly use. I get why this feels frustrating — you're paying for Max and hitting a wall anyway. Here's the actual reason, not a conspiracy: Max isn't a token allowance, it's a usage cap system. Even on Max, Anthropic runs two overlapping limits: a rolling 5-hour session cap and a separate weekly cap. Once you hit the weekly cap, it doesn't matter that your 5-hour window has room or that you "have tokens left" in some abstract sense — the weekly ceiling blocks you regardless. It's not about driving people away — it's compute rationing. Anthropic doesn't have infinite GPU capacity, so usage plans are structured to prevent a small number of heavy users from degrading service for everyone else. This is standard practice across LLM providers (OpenAI does the same with ChatGPT Plus/Pro). If anything, the trend this year has gone the other direction: Anthropic doubled the 5-hour rate limits for Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans on May 6, 2026, and removed the reduced limits that used to apply during peak hours. Then on May 13, weekly limits were raised by 50%, a promotion that's been running through July 13, 2026 — which is today, so it may be expiring or already reverted. One more thing worth knowing: Pro and Max usage is a single shared pool across Claude.ai chat and Claude Code — heavy use in one eats into the other. If you've been using both, that's likely why you burned through the weekly cap faster than expected. If you want the exact current numbers for your specific plan tier, I'd check your usage dashboard in-app (Settings), since exact quotas aren't published and vary by account. Want me to pull up Anthropic's current official docs on this instead of third-party summaries?

I got your frustration. I think usage limits are a difficult balance for AI companies because they need to manage expensive compute resources while still providing a good experience for heavy users. From a user perspective, though, it can feel disappointing when you pay for a higher-tier plan and still hit a hard limit, especially when you are using AI for serious development or research work. I think the future will probably move toward more flexible usage models, where users have better visibility and control over their compute budget. Different models also have different strengths, so having access to multiple providers is becoming an important part of an AI workflow. Personally, I see AI tools as productivity infrastructure, so reliability and availability are just as important as model capability.
Wanna Compete and See What Happens?
I’m interested in seeing what vibe coding tools are best. I think the best way to test this is with a group of 5 people. Here’s the idea We test 2-3 vibe code tools. We all sign up for them and complete the same project. I can provide a PRD for a simple website or application of our choosing. Nothing super difficult so everyone can do it. Then we use the same prompts as much as possible as we build through the applications on all 3 services and when complete we’ll have 15 versions of the same application. We can share the results on here and on our own networks to grow the channel and get some valuable insight into what worked. The 2 variables are the vibe coding tool and the individuals ability to produce via the tools. Adding 5 people and 3 tools creates enough variance for a simple test to see what’s best. If we market the results well we could even get the winning service to promote the content Let me know who’s interested and I’ll get us all connected

let's discuss
Setting up push notifications question
I checked out documentation for setting up push notifications for a mobile app I'm building in Bolt. Then, I watched their recommended video tutorial and it made my head explode. Do any of you know of a clear resource (site, doc, tutorial...) that explains and leads you through the process of setting up push notifications? At this point, this looks like something I will need to hire out. Looks like it has 27 steps and I expect that I will screw them up.

why do you wanna join AI field? if u are eager to, contact with me.
APP IDEA?
how hard would it be to recreate an app like sweat coin but instead of steps its taking pics of something? (i understand that doesn't make sense but i don't really want to put my idea all over the internet) thank you

Hey, Daniel. you know, how quickly you can build AI product!
Nous Portal (Hermes) Token Use
When buying tokens on the Nous Portal be aware that unused tokens do not roll over to the next month. Each month starts at ZERO. My bots compared models and pricing between or OpenRouter and Nous and reported that the pricing is identical. Purchases on Open Router roll over at the end of each month so you don't start out at zero. You start out with whatever you had left at the end of the previous month. Post an update if this changes!
