Hi! Looking for advice!!!
I just officially launched my first skool community that's a book club focused on personal and professional growth + turning what we read into real actions/results in our own lives. We've officially hit 5 members (yay!) but to keep it running we need at least one person on one of the paid tiers within the next month and just more members in general so there is enough of a community to want to participate in the discussions. I'm looking for any and ALL advice you have about: - getting my first 100 members (or more) - where to share/market the community without spending money to run ads for it (because it's a free community) - How often to post, engage, tag people/etc. - & if you want to take a look and tell me what I'm missing in the community too, please let me know and I'll send you the link to check it out (A little background and specific question, I'm the CEO of a successful company and an awarded efficiency/systems expert, which is where the strategies for implementing what we learn from the books we're reading comes from, so the value to join the community is there because it's the same strategies we implement for clients, but in a DIY way instead of services - but I don't know if this should be a part of the language/marketing for the group or not because I'm not sure if it sounds more like true value or just self-promotion). Again, any and all advice is greatly appreciated, thank you for taking the time to help!

@Rae Taylor That sounds promising. I like that you’re building in accountability and measurable results rather than just discussions about books. Seeing how members apply the lessons and the progress they make could be a powerful way to attract more people organically. Once you have those results, what would make you walk away from this property rather than renegotiate? I hope this resonates with you. I’d be glad to share a little of my journey and keep the conversation going.

@Rae Taylor No worries at all, I completely understand. We can keep the conversation here on Skool. Just as an alternative in case you ever need it, my email is [email protected]. Looking forward to exchanging ideas and keeping the conversation going here!
Yeah, people still talking about GB
You know, I don't know what to say. Maybe it's working for huge groups, with thousands of members and Skool and algorithm knows that they gonna pull out more money from promoting such communities. I was trying to calculate even if you pay 30% + sales commission - it's a lot of money, tbh. On top of that, you have to pay TAXES on your income.

@Eugene Huliakevich That’s a fair point. Once you factor in platform fees, sales commissions and tax, the numbers can look very different from the headline revenue. I think the key is understanding the actual net profit and whether the model is sustainable long term. Have you worked out what the margins would look like after all the costs?
