Claude Code vs Codex for Building AI Automation Systems?
@Nate Herk I wanted to ask something I’ve been curious about. I noticed that many of your tutorials use Claude Code to build AI automation systems. I also use Codex in my own workflow, so I’m wondering what made you choose Claude Code for these projects. Is it better suited for certain parts of the process, such as workflow design, context management, automation building, or debugging? I’d also love to hear from others in the community: has anyone tried building similar systems with Codex? How does it compare with Claude Code in practice?

@Travis Hamrick That makes a lot of sense. I agree that AI tools and models are moving too fast to be locked into one specific brand or workflow. Maybe the better approach is to build in a more model-agnostic way, where the system can stay flexible and use Codex, Claude Code, or other tools depending on the task. I like your point about not letting brand loyalty limit the way we build.

@Rajesh Bohra That’s interesting. Token usage and cost are definitely important factors, especially when building larger workflows or Python-based tools. Besides token consumption, have you noticed any clear differences between Codex and Claude Code in terms of code quality, context understanding, or debugging experience?
Do you agree with Elon?

AIOS Use Cases
Hey guys, this is my first post in this community. I'm new here and want to start off being active, feel free to reach out if you want to connect! I've been building out an AIOS for a while now for my own agency. I've signed three clients in total, lost one, and have $500 MRR right now. Netting $1500 from a separate one off project. (newsletter automation) I found myself getting sucked into building my AIOS, often times not optimizing things that would impact real business results. Very curious what everyone else is using it for and where you guys are seeing the most leverage. Would love to hear some thoughts, thanks!

I am excited to get into AiOS after watching Nate’s video too!!🤩
About me
I’m an independent developer based in China with an academic background in cryptography. My interest in AI started from hands-on experiments with training smaller models, which helped me understand how data, model behavior, and system design come together in practice. These days, I’m especially interested in using AI more efficiently: building practical tools, improving workflows, and finding ways to make automation useful without adding unnecessary complexity. I like working on lightweight systems that solve real problems, and I’m always exploring how AI can help independent builders move faster, make better decisions, and turn ideas into usable products.
Is anyone actually selling AI OS builds to clients?🤔
Not trying to be negative, genuinely asking. cause I see a ton of people building them (myself included) but barely anyone talking about actually closing a client on one. single automations? easy sell. "this follows up with your leads automatically." done. business owner gets it in 10 seconds. but try explaining an AI OS to someone whos still running everything off spreadsheets and email lol. they dont want a "system" they just want to stop losing leads or stop drowning in admin work every morning. so whats actually working here? are yall selling the OS as a product? or just building it under the hood and selling the outcomes on top? would love to hear from anyone whos actually closed one of these 🙏 or anyone struggling w the same thing honestly. lets figure this out together
