Been a crazy week with my parents declining fast. But i still managed to get 2 sessions done and I am submitting my second one. 8-25 11:02PM -11:32 Name your first three moves 1. Find a chord or melody progression 2. Find a kick hi hat and snare pattern 3. fill in/color the track I stalled, overthinking the second half of the loop and vocal placement (I wanted a different vibe to give a chorus-and-verse feel in 16 bars), but then I did what I do naturally (emotion placement and trying to create a moment they will remember) and felt where they should go.
1.My process usually begins with the drums, since I am a percussionist and truly love drums. 2.I then craft a melody(Gibberish) with my voice, different parts i want to spell out like guitar or Bass ideas i would like to hear. i often will have a clear idea or direction I want to take in the project as a whole. 3.However, I recognize that I sometimes get caught up in my own thoughts, overthinking whether I’ve included too much or too little of my intended approach. Y'all Be Blessed!
@Ashley Ortiz Challenges like these will definitely help you realize that you can time yourself for 7 minutes and eventually finish tracks in 30 minutes or less. Stay motivated, stay encouraged, and let's keep pushing forward in this race. 🙏🏾💯
@Kelvin Wooten Doc, I tried, kept adding, and had a vision of a sound I needed to hear, but 7 minutes didn’t give me enough to say, 'Oh yeah, that’s it,' lol.
Before we do anything creatively and start working with music technically and trying to figure things out, we need to understand our design first. From that design, everything else follows naturally. That design tends to lean toward something specific.💯🎼
