I myself am a drill producer and I'll tell you to improve somewhat of the mix on 808's, mine's not perfect, but I started here also, doesn't matter about sample or everything, just know the range of 100-210 hz is generally having middy sub, use dynamic eq to fix it, then maybe you may make hard beats also, previews beats I make sound like this, I also attached a beat I'd make generally for placement, trust me bro, start controlling this range and you'll have a whole new spectrum up ahead your imagination for mixing ๐ฅ

I'd also say if you can't program percs rn, mess with percloop, like add fx on them, chop em, give the beat swing, this will 10x hard your beat, ๐ฅ๐ฃ๏ธ
