Multi-agent is expensive theater (most of the time)
Spent the weekend rewriting one of my agents from CrewAI to a single OpenAI SDK call. Same outcome. 1/3 the latency. 1/4 the cost. Multi-agent is fun but it's expensive theater for most jobs.

@Tom Walter Tom thank you, really. I almost didn't post it because it felt a bit cringe to admit 4 months of flailing lol. But if it helps even one person feel less alone in the confusion, worth it. We're all figuring it out as we go ๐Ÿ™Œ

@Ganesh Kumar Welcome Ganesh! Thatโ€™s a strong mission. Start with one workflow, automate it well, then expand step by step.
๐Ÿš€ NEW COURSE DROPPED: CrewAI - Build Real Multi-Agent Systems
Just published the full free CrewAI course inside the community. This isn't a "hello world agent" walkthrough. You build five real projects from scratch: 1. Startup Idea Evaluator. 3 agents that decide ship, revise, or kill. 2. Sales Prospect Researcher. Agents with live web search that write real outreach briefs. 3. AI Tool Recommender. Structured outputs, hierarchical delegation, memory, and a custom tool that pings your phone. 4. Coder Agent. Writes Python AND runs it inside a Docker sandbox. 5. Engineering Team. Lead, backend, frontend, and tester collaborating to ship a working app with tests. You'll also learn the stuff most CrewAI tutorials skip: YAML configs, Pydantic schemas, manager agents, LiteLLM model switching, and honest comparisons against OpenAI Agents SDK. Prerequisite: basic Python. That's it. Head to the Classroom tab and start with Lecture 1. Drop your questions in the CrewAI thread as you go. I'll be in there answering. Let's build. ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ https://www.skool.com/ai-agents-automatin-vibecoding/classroom/5c63391c?md=191a229ab930448ea041729db5f1ac50
