Power of Practicums
Just wanted to give a shout out to @Doreen Kahale for hosting the practicums every Wednesday. In honesty they've become a highlight of the week - they feel like a kind of lab space where we just go with the vibe of the day and see how we want to structure the session. This freeflow means that each session can be quite different, and it's a really nice mix of observation, and participation. I think these are really great and I already got so many insights and experiences. One of the best aspects of this is that it's a safe space to experiment with your coaching and observe other people's experimentations and then have the opportunity to reflect and discuss in a group. In a way it's a kind of workshop mastermind. Super cool. It's also a really nice space to absorb some of the ICF ethos within the coaching container, which I think is a very good thing. 🌿

Power of 6 Levels of Existence (Coaching Foundations)
Premanjana did a very nice session on the 6 levels of existence and took us through a coaching exercise exploring each level individually. This is actually something I've been wanting to do, and it was a great opportunity to get deeper into the model and work with it more. You can get a clearer sense of the nature of each level, and also how they all connect with one another. On a personal level it was powerful to see which of the levels gave me more insights into myself, and get some honest reflections. It's also demonstrating the impact of asking specific questions, and the kinds of insights that a simple question can reveal. My takeaway from the session was that by going through a model like this and uncovering/acknowledging what's real and alive within us, we can give ourselves agency to decide and influence how our life goes. Simply writing down those answers and looking at them from an outside perspective allows us to create space between our identity/stories/behaviours, etc. In Dharmic schools of thought, it is said that if we are privy to such insights/wisdom, then it's our responsibility to make the best use of it that we can (and to not squander the knowledge). As such, there is an inherent invitation waiting for us when we engage in this work... That is the sacred proposal given by the revelation of Insight. Although I've already done a round of the coaching foundations, I've really appreciated joining the sessions still to revisit the basic principles and get more familiar with them, so thank you again Premanjana (and also Rituu who is also delivering the sessions) for teaching these every week for the community 🙏💫

First one-to-one mentor coaching
I just had my first one-to-one mentor coaching with @Marina Zakharova yesterday. Her friendly, kind, yet strongly professional demeanor made the whole experience very warm while remaining decidedly clear. She takes her role to heart and believes in the value of the standards set by the International Coaching Federation. I knew I was in good hands. I have done many trainings in my life where I develop my craft under the guidance of a mentor. It's always an experience where one has to leave their ego at the door and be in it for professional and self-growth. Marina's feedback was so helpful to prepare me for meeting the ICF standards. I came away with concrete areas for 1. areas I need to strengthen (a lot!) and 2. areas where I have demonstrated the required competencies. I am excited about fine tuning my coaching in the weeks until our next meeting. I will work to reach the markers, a goal for which I am equipped between Marina's clear explanations and her written assessment. I have all the information necessary to reach that goal. Now it will take me really applying her recommendations during my coaching sessions. I'm on the path!

Coaching in Another Language
Hello fantastic coaching community. So I have finally started doing some sessions in French. It's a bit of a challenge because some of the expressions we use are difficult to just convey. I end up creating a shade of the intention behind the word or English expression. This works just fine and eventually the right word/expression wriggles itself out and I add it to my stock 🙂 I was wondering if anyone in this group is also working in a couple of languages at once and how you are experiencing it. Please share below, (plus it might be beneficial to have a running list so we may give referrals if need be)

📌 IMPORTANT: A Quick Clarification About Our Coaching Programs
Dear Coaches & Dream Builders I just wanted to clarify a couple of recent changes to our program names, as I realise these may have caused some confusion. My apologies for that! 1. Coaching Foundations is now called Professional Coach Certification What was previously called 'Coaching Foundations' has been renamed 'Professional Coach Certification'. Why the change? Because the program now includes much more than foundational coaching skills. Professional Coaching brings together two important areas of training: 1. Coaching Foundations — developing the essential skills, principles, and competencies of professional coaching. 2. Coaching Mastery — going deeper into advanced coaching principles, including teachings from the Life Mastery Method. Both are included in your existing membership, and our weekly live training continues as usual. So nothing has been taken away from your live coaching education. We've simply brought Foundations and Mastery together under one program name. 2. Life Mastery Method Master Coach is a different program We've also been developing a new program called 'Life Mastery Method Master Coach Certification'. I realise the names sound very similar, particularly because we already teach principles from the Life Mastery Method in our Coaching Mastery classes. However, these are two different levels of training. The Life Mastery Method Master Coach Certification is a separate, specialised 12-month professional program for coaches who want to work much more closely with me and become certified and licensed in our complete Life Mastery Method. It will involve a deeper and more comprehensive curriculum, extensive supervised coaching practice, and a more rigorous certification process. Graduates will be able to use the Life Mastery Method with their own coaching clients and develop their own coaching businesses. There may also be opportunities for selected graduates to work directly within Academy for Coaches, depending on our needs.
