A picture of Terrence on Facebook snuggling with my cat Sasha 11 yrs ago showed up a couple days ago. Both are deceased. Sasha died Aug 2021,Terrence in Aug 2025. Can you tell Aug is one of the worst months of the year for me. I was so miserable when I saw his picture. And then I got this weird feeling that he was with me. It was just strange like a warm hug. Nothing tangible signwise. Just a feeling.

When I was 5 years old, my cousin was came over to visit. She was 6 and we were friends. Her family was driving to a church fair the next morning and she and her dad came over to invite us. I remember whispering to her to not go because she will die. It was said very casually and she and I laughed about it. I also remember that the next day their car had an accident and she died on the spot. In her hand, was a yo-yo she was bringing me from the fair. My mom said that her grasp over the toy was so strong after she passed (likely rigor?) that she was buried with it. I also remember attending her funeral and heard her parents wailing at her grave during burial. I never told them what I told her the night before but I always remember her death and it was one of the first core memories of death for me. Actually I have only told this to a few people in my life none of who are family. I dont think my family would understand this intuition.
