I've been running an AI agency for the past five months — selling AI receptionists, outbound follow-up systems, websites, chatbots, CRMs, and pipelines. I have one client paying $1,500 upfront with a $150/month retainer, but the business model has been tough to scale. The biggest friction points are outreach, meeting no-shows, and closing — not the actual building. I had solely focused on that for 5 months and didn't see much results. Still doing it but.. As a high schooler getting home at 5 PM, I couldn't cold call during business hours, and my show rates were around 15% — so even when I did book meetings, most people didn't show up.
