After a few weeks of building, testing, breaking things, fixing them, and probably spending way too much time staring at the same screen, I’ve finally shipped ROVA for the Nimiq Mini Apps Competition. ROVA is a community contest platform where creators can set up contests and participants can join, compete, and see their results. For this first version, I started with quizzes. The longer term idea is to support different kinds of community competitions such as trivia, predictions, puzzles, challenges, and other formats. Nimiq Pay is also a core part of the experience, with users connecting through their Nimiq wallet to participate. I’ve also built the creator side, so contests can be configured with questions, schedules, prizes, winners, participation requirements, and other rules. I’m now looking for people to actually try it. Try ROVA here: https://rovacompete.vercel.app/ I’d especially appreciate feedback on: • How easy it is to understand what ROVA does • The experience of joining and playing a contest • The overall design and UX • Anything that feels confusing or broken • What kind of contest you’d actually want to see on the platform If you try it, let me know what you think. And if you’re building something for this cycle too, drop it below. I’d love to check out what everyone else has been working on.
