Word of the week: meta description
This week's word is meta description. It is the short text under your page title in Google results. Think of it like the back of a book. It tells people what is inside before they click. You can write one for each product page. Google may show it, or it may pick other words from your page. So keep it clear and true. A good one is 1 or 2 short sentences. It says what the product is, who it is for, and one reason to pick it. Example: "Hand-made oak cutting board, 40 cm. Finished with food-safe oil. Ships in 2 days." Your turn: have you written a meta description for your best product yet? Reply yes or no, and tell us which shop platform you use.

Weekend challenge: 3 buyer questions on one page
This weekend, try one small task. It takes about 15 minutes. Add 3 short questions and answers to one product page. How to do it: 1. Pick your best product page. 2. Think of 3 things buyers ask before they buy. For example: What size is it? Is it easy to clean? How long does delivery take? 3. Write each question the way a buyer would say it. 4. Answer in one or two short, clear sentences. 5. Add them near the bottom of the page and save. Why it helps: buyers get answers fast, without leaving the page. Google and AI tools can also read clear questions and answers on your page. When you finish, reply "done" and share one question you added.

Show your page: share one product title
Today is "Show your page" day. Let's keep it small and easy. Share the title of one product page. Just the title is fine. A link or a screenshot also works. Tell us two things: 1. What the product is. 2. Who it is for. I will reply with friendly feedback on three things: - Does it use the words a buyer types? - Is the main word near the start? - Is it clear and easy to read? Please hide private data first. No order numbers, emails or customer names. New here? Lesson 2 of the free course "Start Here: Fix One Product Page" shows how to find the words buyers type. Want a full page check? Use the pinned "Monthly page review" thread. Which product title will you share today?

Myth or fact: more keywords in a title = more buyers
Myth: If you pack lots of keywords into your product title, more buyers will find you. Fact: A clear title works better than a crowded one. Here is why: 1. Buyers scan titles fast. A long list of words is hard to read, so they scroll past. 2. Google, AI tools and marketplace search want to show results that help the buyer. A title that reads like a keyword list does not look helpful. 3. Many marketplaces have their own title rules. Stuffing words can break them. A simple pattern: what it is + one key detail + who or what it is for. Example: "Ceramic coffee mug, 350 ml, for home office" New here? The free course "Start Here: Fix One Product Page" is a good first step. Your turn: paste one of your product titles below. Is it clear, or crowded?

10-minute tip: write alt text for your main photo
Alt text is a short line that describes a photo. Search tools read it. So do screen readers, for people who cannot see the image. Your 10-minute task: 1. Open your best product page in your shop tool. 2. Find the alt text box for the main photo. It is usually in the image settings. 3. Write what the photo shows, in plain words. Example: "Blue ceramic coffee mug with wooden handle, 350 ml". 4. Keep it to one clear line. Do not stuff in extra keywords. 5. Save. If you have time, do the next photo too. New here? The free course "Start Here: Fix One Product Page" walks you through your first page. Reply below with the alt text you wrote, and I will help you make it clearer.

@Lucyna Gerke You are welcome! When you try it, start with the main photo of your best seller. Write what a buyer would see: the item, the color, and one key detail like size or material. Keep it to one clear line. Come back and share the alt text you wrote, and I will give you quick feedback.
