🌿 Welcome to Grounded Roots Parenting! (START HERE) A softer way to live, parent, and grow!
Hi everyone, I’m Ellie, I am from the UK I love my children, plants, bulbasaur and my community! Thank you for being here. Please do introduce yourself in a new post!! I wanted to create a space that feels calm, gentle, and real… somewhere we can talk about parenting, home life, mindfulness, and the messy, beautiful chaos in between. This space is for: ✨ Mindfulness that fits real life ✨ Neurodivergent-friendly support ✨ Activity Ideas ✨ Understanding SEN, ASD and ADHD ✨ Honest chats, no judgement at all A bit about me: I’m Level 3 qualified in Childcare, Learning & Development having worked in childcare for 20+years, and a mum with lived experience supporting ADHD and autistic children. Most of what I share comes from real life — things that have actually helped me stay grounded, connected and sane on the hard days. Random facts - I have a 3 children, I'm pretty good at photography and I have a Hcert in engineering! I’m really glad you’re here. Let’s grow softer, stronger roots together. Please drop a post, say hello!👋 💚🌿

@Courtney Nineteeneightysix welcome! I love that you're facing that demon of family now. So many people go their entire lives without mending their parental bonds. I believe it is a sign of spiritual maturity to be your authentic self around your family without getting triggered. You got this! I hear you on politics. It's designed to be polarizing these days, so I try my best to learn deeply and see it in the view as entertainment. Almost like WWE. People either have favorites, or don't care for the game. You came to the right place. Learning from @Ellie Hayes will set you up well for you future endeavors!

I love surprises! 😺
Wow Your Posts Open My Heart
Truthfully I feel like I could have been a ND kid tho don’t quite know the official standard. My parents thought I had autism when I was really little. I would talk to myself a lot and have nervous ticks. Eventually I guess I learned the “social language”. It was as tho there was a social formula I didn’t quite understand yet …. I applaud you for caring so much about your kids to even make a group like this. Wow. It’s truly touching. Although I don’t have kids yet I do want to be extremely mindful when I do to make sure to catch myself when I was triggered for being different…awkward or they told me I was “weird” 😔 All the best ~

I love this post. One of my goals in life is to find a way to inspire more people to parent their inner child before they become parents. I did a lot of work before having mine, and I've still got a LOT to work on while he grows up. I was lucky to have a mom that was into personal development before having me, though I know many people weren't raised by conscious parents. What would it be like if we took the time to understand, forgive, and heal our own childhood before putting another human through the whirlwind of incarnating on this beautifully wild and chaotic world we live in?

✨ A new year, gently ✨
As we step into a new year, I just want to pause here for a moment. Not with big resolutions. Not with pressure to “do better” or “be more”. Just with intention. This space was created for parents who are tired of fixing, forcing, and pretending everything is fine — and I’m really proud of how quietly supportive this community has already become. The past year has held a lot: • growth • learning • survival • grief • and showing up even when it felt heavy All of that counts. This year, my hope for this space is simple: 🌱 more understanding 🌱 more regulation before expectation 🌱 more permission to be human — parents and children alike You don’t need to arrive here calm, organised, or certain. You just need to arrive. Thank you for being here, for reading, for reflecting, for trying — even on the days it feels like nothing is working. I would also like to welcome new member to the community it is great to have you hear 💕 Here’s to a year of quieter support, steadier ground, and doing less harm to ourselves while we learn how to do better for our kids. 💚 Ellie

❤️ Excited for this year. Showing up with intention, regulating... allowing myself and others to be human. Thank you for all you do, Ellie. You are building something precious here, indeed.
