Let me share a different perspective. Building a Whale Portfolio is like two people reading the same book. Person One might be on Chapter 27, while Person Two is still on Chapter 2. The truth is, no two journeys are ever the same. Everyone starts from a different place and progresses at their own pace. And that’s okay. If you’re only on Chapter 2 of this great novel titled "𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝒕𝒐 𝑩𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅 𝒂 𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒆 𝑷𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒇𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒐 𝒊𝒏 3 𝒕𝒐 5 𝑺𝒉𝒐𝒓𝒕 𝒀𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒔," don’t get discouraged. The key isn’t how fast you’re moving—it’s that you stay committed to finishing the book and, most importantly, 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻. Unfortunately, many people read the book but never take action. Others might lose interest at Chapter 3 or 4, never realizing the rewards waiting at the end. Remember what Lao Tzu said: “The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” He was right. Starting is critical, but so is sticking with it, whether you’re walking alone or with others. So, let me ask you: · How far are you on your own journey? · Do you have the patience to see it through to the final chapter? · And are you applying the lessons you’ve learned along the way? The fastest way to lose momentum is by comparing your Chapter 2 to someone else’s Chapter 27. Focus on your own progress, one step at a time. For example, a 10,64% gain on R200,000 would’ve been R21,280 – a great weekly return in anyone’s book, but not enough to reach true Financial Freedom. 𝟮. 𝗞𝗘𝗘𝗣 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗙𝗢𝗖𝗨𝗦 – Work toward your target portfolio size where profit-taking won’t undermine its growth momentum. This is crucial for long-term, sustained wealth. 𝟯. 𝗟𝗜𝗠𝗜𝗧 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛𝗗𝗥𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗟𝗦 – Small, strategic profit-taking is key, but compounding your portfolio to your target is even better. Don’t rush the process – compounding is your best friend here! 𝟰. 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗞 𝗟𝗢𝗡𝗚-𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗠 – Give yourself 3-5 years to grow. A long-term view almost guarantees Financial, Time, and Location Freedom. 𝟱. 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗬 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗖𝗜𝗣𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗗 - Stick to YOUR goals and avoid cashing out too soon.
