Big day at Iron Fish Barbell
The Thomas Inch Trainer has been Christened, records were made, and records were quickly broken. My older brother came out to see what he could do now that I have a true trainer in the arsenal. After warming up he lifted 169.10lbs. Then he got 174.10lbs for several reps. Both weights smashing his previous record on my custom made handle. He then followed that up with 182.90lbs for several reps as well to finish up the night and smash all his records. Massive steps from what he has done before. We were so excited from his lifts that I didnt even remember what I had done before him. My brother said I did 147lbs which would've been a new record for me too. This thing is incredible. I absolutely love it and he is obsessed with it. We now have to find a real 172 Thomas Inch for him to try. I know of 1 near me and I'm trying to get some plans made for that lift to happen for him. Cross your fingers for us. We're gonna see what we can make happen.

New DIY Implements
May I introduce: ā€œLittle Dickyā€ and ā€œSkate or Dieā€. I put together these two little pieces this week and had a chance to mess around with them yesterday. One is a section of handle from a piece of an old junky rowing machine, the other, a wheel from my first ever skateboard. The textures and sizes make for unique challenges with being plastic and urethane respectively. Was able to pull 100lbs And 60lbs

@Huub Lauwaars I really want to try your concrete filled pop can idea and use it to make a rolling handle with

@Montana Fish couldn’t agree more! And it lets you really get different training stimulus you wouldn’t get from mass produced items
Rolling handle
This is a rolling handle that can be lifted with two hands. It’s 90 mm. Down side is, you can easily lift off center which makes the lift some what easier. But the wide grip feels good.

That’s massive! I just saw a rolling handle for sale online last night shaped like a standard beer can. Compared to that, the handle that you have there would be like one of those Foster’s big cans
It has arrived!
Finally, After all the back and forth with customs, the terrible communication and lack of help from Gods Of Grip, my Thomas Inch Dumbell Trainer is finally here! The box looks like it went through war and was so poorly packaged with less than desirable materials. The box itself is the lighest duty cardboard I have ever seen. All the padding was popped and crushed. It did pretty much nothing. The box is in such bad shape I'm not sure if trainer is slightly bent or not due to how funky it is already supposed to look. I cannot wait to try this piece out, but it will be the only thing I every buy from Gods of Grip. After spending sooooo much on shipping and the hassle of not getting any help this was a massive disappointment and experience. @John Griffith

Definitely a cool piece! But that definitely sucks that it became such a nightmare to get it to ya. Hopefully it’s straight and becomes a welcome addition to the training šŸ’ŖšŸ¼
Dinnie Stones style lift
For the first time I tried a dinnie stones style lift with my 60mm rolling handle & 60mm V-bar both by Gods Of Grip. The weight on the rolling handle was 50 Kg & on the V-bar was 55 Kg. I realised how difficult and fun that kind of lift was at the same time

Dual hand lifts like this are such an interesting and different stimulus, especially when you’re adding in bigger diameter grips like that. Very solid lift!
