Your first post doesn’t have to be perfect; it just has to exist. One of my clients once shared a rough first draft online. It wasn’t polished, but the feedback she received turned that draft into an ebook that now sells every single week. Perfection can wait. Visibility can’t. 💬 Have you shared any of your writing online yet, or are you still waiting for “perfect”?

Radio and TV hosts usually use a tease right before a commercial to keep people listening or watching. Here are multiple examples. Read these and then imagine that your interview is coming up next, and write some teasers to promote you and your book. Post them in the comments. Curiosity / Mystery Teases - “She uncovered the secret behind living a fearless life—find out what it is when we talk with [Author Name] coming up next.” - “Could one small decision really change your entire future? Bestselling author [Author Name] says yes—and explains why in just a few minutes.” - “What if the story you’ve been told about success is all wrong? [Author Name] joins us to reveal a surprising new perspective.” Emotional / Relatable Teases - “We’ve all faced heartbreak—but [Author Name] turned pain into purpose. Hear how their story can inspire yours.” - “If you’ve ever wondered how to find hope when life falls apart, you won’t want to miss our conversation with [Author Name].” - “From rock bottom to bestseller—[Author Name] shares their powerful journey in just moments.” Practical / “What’s in it for me” Teases - “Want to beat stress in less than five minutes a day? [Author Name] says it’s possible—we’ll find out how.” - “Three simple habits that could change your life—straight from [Author Name], coming up.” - “Think you don’t have time to chase your dreams? [Author Name] says you do, and they’ll tell us why.” Bold / Dramatic Teases - “They’ve been called the next C.S. Lewis—hear why readers can’t stop talking about [Author Name].” - “The book shaking up the conversation on faith and culture—we’ve got [Author Name] here to tell us more.” - “From Wall Street to wilderness, [Author Name] has lived it all—and the story will surprise you.” These work because they dangle a benefit or story without spilling the whole thing, so listeners or viewers have to stay tuned.
