My Re-Introduction
Hi guys, I’m Max, from The Netherlands. I’m 21 years old and I study architecture. As many of you, I like classic dressing, and I currently own two suits, one cream casual one and a tuxedo, as well as some sports coats. I also love cars, books, and older music, like Sinatra, or Dean Martin. Looking forward to see what we can make of this new group.

Looking sharp Max!
Is College Worth It
Today I ask the question is college truly worth the time and money. There are many people going into debt to pay to go college. Many of them drop out and never earn degrees. Many of them never get jobs in their fields of study. Many of them never get a job that even requires a college degree. Many trades like plumbers and electricians can’t find enough workers. What are your thoughts is college actually worth it?

For most people no, for some- definitely. I believe it is necessary for those who will work in industry that require special training. Medicine, engineering etc. For most other people whilst it is not necessary it can be very beneficial. Take me for example, I have completed a bachelor and this year I will complete my masters (finance). Next September I have a job lined up in the UK, where I will make more than double the average salary there. So for me I would say it was a success but perhaps not “necessary” I also have the privilege of living in Ireland where fees are low and receiving a scholarship for my postgraduate studies so I have zero student debt. There are many benefits for those who go to college and study actually useful degrees (no liberal arts etc), you will have a high standard of education recognised worldwide, you will develop your network and probably meet some of your best friends for life. Yet, for most it is not necessary.

@Al Voss lifelong learning is important. I also think your environment really makes a difference. In Ireland and from what I’ve seen across Europe (I studied in Germany for a year), many are well educated and end up doing quite well. A good standard of living and whilst many do go to college I think the majority make use of their time and use it for better. That being said we have a much different culture to the US and the student debt over there is BS
My Re-Introduction
Hi Everyone, As it’s been a while since I introduced myself on the previous page, I decided I’d rewrite it completely. I’m 23 years old and I was born and bred in Ireland. I am currently studying a Masters in Finance, after which I will be moving to London to work for a large asset manager (Graduate Investment Analyst). I am and always have been interested in many things: I Read (Classics, Fiction, History, Finance & anything else I deem interesting), Play Football (Gaelic Football & “Soccer”), Golf, I go to the gym, I have a podcast, I’m President of a student led investment fund and I love all things in the investment universe. I’ve studied in Germany for a year, traveled most of Europe, I’m yet to visit the States or Asia but would like to. I love chatting to people, seeing what makes them think. My messages are open to anyone who wants to chat ever and I will do my best to accommodate. Thanks for having me, I’ll leave you with one of my favourite quotes: “Manners Maketh Man” My Peter

Welcome to Our New Room and Home
Several Members expressed interest in being the new Owner. Only Two had the passion I considered necessary. After much Prayer and Meditation I chose Stephen Arnold. Why? Not only the passion but he had also met Scott in person. I know Scott liked him. Stephen lives in Texas. For those that may not understand, I simply had to trust. And here we are and here we go. Thanks
