@Robert Shervill Sorry. Mis-read the question. The ABS codes were unable to be cleared before and or after the test drive. They stayed in the system even though it only says “pending” next to them on the screen.

@Robert Shervill thinking a red herring, but didn’t even look in to that while with the car. Customer seemed to accept that wiring diagrams are almost impossible to get for his Daimler, and is asking me to return to look in to the problem further. I have never charged a customer if I didn’t find the fault / fix the fault. Just wanting to find and fix the issue next time I go there so I can get paid… I think I have a workshop manual coming for this car from a friend, so if that happens I will return again on Monday and stay with it until it’s fixed (here’s hoping). Just seems like trying to do the job with a blindfold on when there are no diagrams for the car. Makes it damn awkward if it isn’t an obvious fault. I took the job because it interests me to work on vehicles I don’t see often, but now wishing I’d refused the job as the customer wouldn’t be texting me and asking when I can go back. Just don’t want to spend hours there for free - again!
Wiring diagrams software
I use Alldata and often struggle to find a wiring diagram / schematic for what I'm needing. I often send Alldata requests for diagrams. I had one recently for a Land Rover that they were unable to help me with at all. I'll post a screenshot of their reply. But I see RMS uses Autodata in the videos sometimes and wondered if it's better than Alldata - or is this a fiery topic of conversation to start?

Yes I see Milligan Auto Diagnostics from Glasgow on Youtube using the Hella Gutman software too. I'd like to use something that actually works and am getting a bit bored of Alldata as it's difficult to find what I need (or impossible). Handy to be able to search, but I searched for heated seats with a Peugeot 508 estate earlier today and got so many left hand drive documents and it was like trying to find a needle in a haystack looking for what I actually needed. I'm interested to hear what software works well for people looking for wiring diagrams. Ease of use and good content. A while back I wondered about Autodata, but didn't even look in to it when I heard the drawings are redrawn. I was wanting genuine manufacturer drawings, but now I'd be happy to just have a drawing whatever it is.

Used to use one like that many years ago. Brings back some nostalgic memories. Not sure I’d remember what I used to do now though. I’m sure someone will know how - or will know of someone. Would like to see the video of it being used on your work van.
Thanks all for joining
I really enjoyed tonight’s session fingers crossed you picked up a few tips. Bob

It was good. Thanks for taking the time to make the slide presentation. I need to get more customer data when accepting jobs. It’s good to be reminded of this, and it’s good to run through some stuff we just take for granted some times. I could do with making a proper form for filling in when talking to the customer about a car. Would help to cover everything. Thanks
