Portfolio Update – Now at $315.85K Hey guys, Portfolio just crossed $315,850 ✅ Today I deployed the new paycheck: • $2,000 into SGOV (20 shares) • ~$490 into VT New total ≈ $315.85K Why this split? I’m honestly scared of getting laid off. I work long physical shifts + a lot of overtime at a big car factory. I’ve seen too many people lose their jobs suddenly, so I’m building a bigger safety cushion in SGOV right now — it’s stable and won’t crash if I lose my income. Added VT to slightly increase global diversification and not be too heavy in US stocks (S&P 500 is still ~55%). This is my simple routine: get paid → invest → repeat. Built mostly on overtime money. Question: Do you work overtime to save and invest more? Or are you focusing on other ways to increase your income? Final note: If you see anything stupid in my portfolio or you would do something differently — feel free to tell me. I’m always open to advice from more experienced investors.
