Wednesday Pet Nugget: Zinc - The Unsung Hero of Pet Health
Think zinc is just a trace mineral? Think again! Although pets only need small amounts of zinc, it plays a huge role in keeping their bodies functioning properly. Dogs and cats need zinc for: - Healthy skin and a shiny coat - Wound healing - A strong immune system - Normal growth and development - Reproductive health - Proper sense of smell and taste - Healthy paws and nose Signs your pet may not be getting enough zinc can include: - Dry, flaky skin - Hair loss or poor coat quality - Slow wound healing - Frequent skin infections - Crusty areas around the mouth, eyes, or paws (especially in some dog breeds) Did You Know? Some breeds, including Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes, and giant breeds, can have difficulty absorbing zinc, making them more prone to zinc-responsive skin disease. Cats usually obtain adequate zinc from a balanced, meat-based diet, but they still depend on this mineral for healthy skin, immune function, and tissue repair. Natural sources of zinc include: - Beef - Lamb - Turkey - Chicken - Liver - Seafood (especially oysters, though not commonly fed to pets) - Complete, balanced commercial pet foods Too much zinc can be harmful. Never supplement without guidance, as excessive zinc can interfere with other minerals such as copper and may even become toxic. Wednesday Nugget: The Nutrients Your Blood Vessels Need
With the death of Senator Lindsey Graham to an aortic dissection, I wanted to do this nugget today. Atherosclerosis, hardening of the arteries, is a major cause of an aortic dissection. Your arteries and veins need more than good cholesterol numbers, they need healthy collagen. Collagen is one of the proteins that gives blood vessels their strength, flexibility, and resilience. As we age, collagen production declines, making it even more important to support our body's ability to produce it. But here's the part many people don't know: Vitamin C is absolutely essential for making healthy collagen. Without enough vitamin C, your body cannot properly build and maintain collagen. Think of vitamin C as the foreman on a construction site, it directs the process that strengthens collagen fibers throughout the body. Healthy collagen helps blood vessels remain flexible and resilient, while good nutrition and healthy lifestyle habits also play important roles in reducing the risk of arterial stiffening over time. Support your blood vessels by focusing on: - Quality protein - Vitamin C-rich fruits and vegetables - Leafy greens and colorful produce - Regular physical activity - Healthy blood pressure and blood sugar Professor C. Nugget Says: "You can buy collagen, but without enough vitamin C, your body can't build it into strong, healthy tissue!" If you are taking a collagen supplement, make sure you are getting enough vitamin C. Healthy blood vessels begin with healthy nutrition. Every bite matters. https://www.skool.com/simcha-healthcare-3222/about

Wednesday Nugget: The Nutrients Your Blood Vessels Need
MONDAY HEALTH MYTH NUGGET
Myth: "If I eat healthy, that's all I need." Not always. Eating nutritious foods is essential, but it's only the beginning. You can fill your plate with vegetables, lean proteins, and healthy fats, yet still struggle with nutrient deficiencies if your body isn't absorbing those nutrients properly. Many factors can interfere with nutrient absorption, including: - An unhealthy gut microbiome - Chronic inflammation - Certain medications - Chronic stress - Digestive disorders - Individual differences in metabolism and genetics Think of it this way... Healthy food is the fuel. Your digestive system is the engine. Even the best fuel won't get you very far if the engine isn't running efficiently. That's why functional medicine looks beyond what you eat and asks a more important question: "Is your body actually using the nutrients you're giving it?" At Simcha Healthcare, we believe true wellness isn't just about eating healthy, it's about helping your body function the way it was designed to. Sometimes the problem isn't what's on your plate... It's what your body can (or can't) do with it. Have you ever known someone who ate incredibly healthy but still struggled with fatigue, digestive issues, or nutrient deficiencies? Join us and let's talk about it! https://www.skool.com/simcha-healthcare-3222/about

MONDAY HEALTH MYTH NUGGET
MONDAY MYTH NUGGET
Myth: "My pet looks healthy, so they must be healthy." Not always. Dogs and cats are incredibly good at hiding illness. In the wild, showing weakness can make an animal vulnerable, so many pets don't show obvious signs until a condition has progressed. Long before symptoms appear, there may already be changes happening beneath the surface: - Microbiome imbalances - Chronic inflammation - Nutrient deficiencies - Early organ stress - Metabolic changes This is why functional testing can be so valuable. Instead of waiting for disease, it helps identify areas of dysfunction early, when nutrition, lifestyle, and targeted support may have the greatest impact. Healthy isn't just what we see on the outside, it's what's happening on the inside. At Simcha Hub of Pet Physiology, we believe education is the first step toward healthier, happier pets. MONDAY MYTH NUGGET
SUNDAY NUGGET - IT'S TRANSITION TIME
Big Things Are Happening Behind the Scenes! I'm excited to share that I'm moving all of my products to a brand-new Shopify store! I didn't make this decision lightly. After much thought and prayer, I decided to move my products and classes to Shopify because of Skool's new Growth Boost program, which takes a 30% share of sales made through the platform. This move isn't about leaving a community I care about, it's about protecting the value of the educational content, products, and resources I've spent years creating. I want the freedom to price my classes and products based on the value they provide, rather than feeling pressure to continually discount them. I need to place my products and educational resources where people are already in the mindset to shop. My communities will remain focused on education, support, and discussion, while Shopify will become the destination for those who are ready to invest in their health and their pet's well-being. My Shopify store will be where I can offer products, classes, magazines, and resources to people who are actively looking to purchase products. My commitment to my communities hasn't changed. Simcha Healthcare and Simcha Hub of Pet Physiology will continue to be places for learning, discussion, and support. Shopify will simply become the home for my products, courses, magazines, and educational resources, allowing me to continue investing in new content and serving both people and pets for years to come. For right now, you will still be able to find the digital magazines here because I will be spotlighting Skool members and communities in the magazines. My goal is simple, to create one convenient place where you can easily find the resources and products that support both human and pet wellness. The new store will include: - My monthly digital magazines. They will still be available here - My eBooks available on Amazon - Mirabella Cosmetics - Pet health and wellness products - Vitamins and supplements for humans - Functional health resources and educational materials.  - Exclusive courses and learning opportunities. - And much more as we continue to grow!
