@Daniel Sloan he uses it to tie on his glasses so they don't slip off and fall in the water. 😁
When was the last time you experienced Real Fear?
We Love Alex Honnold! As soon as I heard this interview with him after he free solo'd Taipei 101, it immediately resonated with me. He helped me gain a greater sense of happiness and respect for “doing hard things”. Check out what he says and the importance of experiencing real fear as you see some of the things we did on our last wilderness Survival Camping trip in 12°F weather! What was a lesson you learned from doing a really hard thing?

@Daniel Sloan I thought surely the people waving and taking pics of him from inside the building would rattle him a little, but nope.

@Daniel Sloan I did. It was a sad day when he sold his last sailboat. His body just got too old to do it anymore. He told me at the time, "A good sailor knows his limitations."
When have you experienced...
"A good leader inspires people to have confidence in the leader; a great leader inspires people to have confidence in themselves." ~Eleanor Roosevelt When have you experienced working with a great leader?

I'll let you know if it ever happens.
End of 2025...
It has been such a great and crazy year. Personally, I feel like it's been a "refining" year for me with personal struggles and trials trying to teach me patience. It's been extremely hard...a lot of things I do not hope to have repeated...but I know I've become better for having gone through them. Unfortunately, I'm not out of my trials yet but nothing I can do but keep pushing. Just wanted to say thank you for your support in our community. It really means the world to us. This is brand new to us so we are grateful for you taking this journey of DIY growth with us. Wishing you each a Happy New Year! I hope you can look back on 2025 with fondness and gratitude and see the growth you experienced amongst your struggles and trials. Wishing you the best to come in 2026 from UCanBuildThis!

@Daniel Sloan they're a fast-growing evergreen shrub here in the southeastern US. They'll make a nice wall for privacy.

@Daniel Sloan no, but I just Googled it. Makes sense!
What DIY Project have you been working on this weekend?
Would love to see and hear about any DIY project you've been working on lately. Any successes, failures, or problems run into.

I'm building a greenhouse. I have built the foundation and framed it up, but am totally dragging my feet on putting the panels in. They came with these weird clips that my hands are too small to manipulate. Super annoying. I'll probably just silicon them all in.
