I have played chess my entire life, but only in the last five years have I begun taking steps to significantly improve my game. It must be working, because now most of my family refuses to play me anymore since I win so easily. I haven't played enough games to get a recent rating, but my tactics rating is 1500 and my endgame rating is 1650 (both on ChessTactics.com). I highly recommend doing their daily puzzles -- it has helped me enormously. I play mainly for fun and to keep my brain sharp, but I would like to eventually reach a chess rating of 2000.
