Tools first for agentic AI and no user interface
I have been thinking about this for some time that we will not use UI anymore but just tell our AI what needs to happen and our tool will do it. Next step is we have an AI assistant that is using the tool for us. Chris Lema who I respect highly for years made this reality by building a CRM tool without UI. https://chrislema.com/agentic-software-crm-no-ui
🏆 WEEKLY COMP #2 WINNER: VIRGILIO ROBINSON 🏆
🎟️ @Virgilio Robinson just won a free seat in The Lyceum. 🎟️ Pick your cohort, my guy. Technical, Business, or Creator. It's yours. Why @Virgilio Robinson won: Most entries built a calculator with Marcus's voice on top. Virgilio built a system. Check it out: https://areweok.netlify.app 🧠 Built around the person, not the spreadsheet. Most calculators ask for income and savings. Virgilio's intake starts with who relies on you, how decisions get made at home, and how the worry actually feels. That's the difference between a tool and a planner. 🎯 It actually solves Marcus's problem. A prospect fills it out before the call. They get a real read on where they stand. Marcus walks into the meeting already knowing the numbers AND the emotional context. Hour saved, conversation deeper. ✍️ The voice is Marcus. "Matthew, I can tell you're the kind of person who carries the weight of everyone else's financial security on your shoulders." That's not a calculator output. That's a planner who paid attention. 🎚️ The "what moves the needle" sliders. Three levers: save more, earn more, work longer. Live recalc against the target. This is exactly what Marcus asked for when he said "give them a path, not a verdict." 📅 It closes the loop. Email plus three preferred dates, sent straight to Marcus. The only entry that took the prospect all the way to a booked conversation. Real talk for everyone else. This was a tight one. There were several entries that could have won. The bar this week was higher than Week 1 and the work showed it. If you didn't win, that doesn't mean your entry was off. It means Virgilio went further. A lot of you built tools that nailed the voice. A lot of you built tools that nailed the math. Virgilio built one that did both AND thought about how Marcus actually runs his business. That's the lesson. The brief is never just the brief. The brief is a person trying to solve a real problem.

Wow @Virgilio Robinson i just filled in your system and I am very impressed how personal you made it. The answer it gave also going into the way I would like to live in my retirement is impressive. Very well deserved that you win it is much more personal and better then my own submission.
Mini-Series Part 2: The "Token Crash" & The Keyboard Epiphany
In Part 1, I was riding high. I had Chrome, Edge, and Firefox all running simultaneously, tripling my speed on a massive D365 rebilling project. I felt like I’d cracked the code to being "efficiently lazy." Link: Mini-Series Part 1: The "Manual Hell" Rebill Project · Clief Notes But the victory was short-lived. I was driving the car at 100mph, but I didn't realize how much fuel I was burning. The Crash: 3 Hours to Zero The next morning, I fired up all cylinders. It was beautiful—until it wasn't. In under 3 hours, I burned through my entire token allotment. I was dead in the water with a 1.5-hour wait until my limits reset. With the clock ticking and sales reps still needing updates, I had to go back to doing it manually. And that’s when the "Aha!" moment happened. The "Tab" Breakthrough While I was clicking and typing manually to pass the time, I realized something: I wasn't really using the mouse. I was mostly hitting Tab and Shift-Tab to navigate the D365 fields. I asked Claude: "Can Playwright just 'Tab' through the browser instead of searching for elements and taking screenshots for every move?" Claude’s answer: YES. My jaw dropped. From "Visual Driving" to "Macro Speed" The old workflow relied on Claude "seeing" the screen via screenshots to make sure it was in the right spot. It was accurate, but heavy. I had Claude rewrite the interior workflow to a deterministic loop: 1. The Setup: I open the URL, set the filters, and select the first row. 2. The Loop: * Tab to Invoice → Enter. 3. Repeat. I added small buffers (100ms between tabs, 4s for page loads) to ensure D365 could keep up. See the video for how the flow runs in real life! The Result: 90% Savings & 10x Efficiency I asked Claude to evaluate the two methods. The numbers were staggering: Old "Visual" Flow: - Tool Calls: ~500 calls per 50 orders - Token Usage: 100% (High Burn) - Logic: Screenshot-dependent (Slow)

Great thinking that there are other ways that use less tokens. Like a WordPress site can connect with MCP server but that uses tokens. Can also just run a CLI command or if you can’t do it in CLI it can use an API command. Only when APi can’t do it then use MCP server.
finally built headless wordpress website :D
Inspired by @Curtis Hays, I finished an experiment that I had started a few weeks ago. I started my company as a local web design agency in 2014. I've pivoted a few times since, where our core offer is that of Fractional CMO services, but we still do some agency type work for existing clients, friends, and family. I was ready to throw in the towel on web builds just because they take so much time and I hadn't cracked the code on building sites with ongoing content. I finally got it this evening! We've gotten good at building unique sites using Claude with next.js, files live in github, website runs on vercel. This evening I was able to get a headless WordPress environment where I can add/edit/delete content, but the design still lives in Vercel! I realize this might seem like a small thing for some, but it's a ginormous win for the 8 SIGNAL team :D It's gonna save us sooooooo much time rebuilding from next.js to Elementor. Huge shoutout to Curtis. By sharing his win, he inspired me to dig further into this and figure it out! Here's the site that was previously just a "static" site on vercel, now all the content is coming from a wordpress install: https://century-rentals.vercel.app/ P.S. If you have a better way of managing websites that require a CMS and SEO/AEO, don't hold back. I won't be deflated. I'm always looking for ways to improve and do things better. P.P.S. Website's for a buddy, and still not finalized yet, so I'm taking some liberty to mess around with him about baseball because he knows less than I do, and I don't know much LOL!

Hi @Ruben Aguirre wel done. We are also an agency using WP. This setup works for static WP sites but would it also work for dynamic WP sites?
