The Glamping site is now closed for the season and probably for good this time. Despite the local planning authority having served an enforcement notice on it last year, it didn’t stop me opening up for this season. Met some interesting characters along the way but I want my weekends back. Now in the middle of packing everything away.

I’m often asked about how I got to where I am today and the simple answer is, I worked a minimum of 10 hours a day, often more, mostly everyday of the week and I never cared about bending or even breaking the rules. I’ve done many different things to earn a crust and spent my 27th birthday in prison, serving 8 months of a 2 year sentence for fraud. 34 years ago I bought a chunk of farmland in Sussex and despite the local authorities trying their best to stop me, I’ve built 3 houses on it and ongoing. The latest money earner on the land was a Glamping site, which the local council served an enforcement notice on but that still didn’t stop me. There’s always a work around.
