Treasure mechanism
Just had to share this with people who I know will appreciate it. This will be the hidden mechanism for our treasure discovery moment on my new show.

FOCUS
Dan Martell is the Author of a Book Buy Back Your Time and has positioned himself as an online business expert so take that with as much salt as you choose. But He has something that I really love, which is an acronym for F.O.C.U.S Follow One Course Until Successful. I know for myself how hard it is to just do one thing. It's so hard, particularly for us as creatives. Our brains are so open to the opportunities creatively that come our way and it's so easy to be distracted by other things. What that means for a lot of us is that we reduce the depth of our work by increasing the width of our work. Going deeper leads to faster growth. How can we FOCUS? One very steong way is to choose a single target audience to create work for - for now. Keep creating for the same type of people so the number of those types of people grows with each show. Dean Jackson (One of my favourite marketers) says it like this - Choose a single target market at a time. Do it for them, then move to the next target market. Prove it then move it. Let me give you some examples of successful compaines just in my city. Shake & Stir Started as a schools touring company that grew over 20 years into a touring productions nationally and now internationally. FOCUS - Shakespeare adaptations that led to adapting other popular work. They are probably the leading indie company in my state. Dead Puppet Society FOCUS - puppets - crushing it. Started small and local, now a nationally known company. Clint Bolster FOCUS - Clowning / Masks Tours experiences involving clown based masked characters to festivals, theatres. Is one of the 'go to' people for clowning in my state. Woodward Productions FOCUS - Shows with a taboo edge. A Very Naughty Christmas, Drunk Shakespaere style shows, Plied and Predjudice. Does shows that appeal to people who like bawdy humor. The other thing they do: They have a suite of shows that are repeatable. They do the same shows in rotation (this is another form of the FOCUS). Yes they are always developing somethign new, but the shows that work the best are assets they continue to sell.

GIG Sorter is live - what would you want in something like this?
I have sent the system live. An all in one business system with a speical price for artists to access it. I am still building out customised workflows that are useful to us as artists. So, if you were to use a system like this - what would you like to be able to do in it? What types of automations would make your life easier when tracking you shows, venues, and artistic work? What do you do now that frustrates the hell out of you or takes you a heap of time that automating would help with? I would love to get feedback from this artistic comunity to feed into it. I apprecaite you all!! You can check it out here: gigsorter.com/artists
