✈️ Tip of the Day #2
Your first flying job doesn’t have to be your dream job—it just has to build quality time. A lot of pilots get hung up on finding the “perfect” time-building job. The reality is that CFI, survey, pipeline, banner towing, and other entry-level flying jobs have all helped pilots reach the airlines. Focus on flying safely, becoming a better aviator, and staying consistent. Every hour moves you closer to your goal.

Regional to Major Question
Hey guys, thanks for putting this together. I want to live in Atlanta, so naturally I'm hoping to work for Delta. Do you think I need to specifically target one of their regionals, or will any regional work for getting the right experience?

The short answer is no—you don’t need to fly for a Delta Connection carrier to eventually get hired by Delta. Plenty of Delta pilots have come from SkyWest, Republic, Envoy, PSA, Mesa, Horizon, Endeavor, and many other regional and Part 135 operators. Since you want to live in Atlanta, I’d put more emphasis on finding a regional that offers a base and quality of life that works well for you rather than chasing one specific airline solely because it’s affiliated with Delta. That said, hiring trends change over time, so it’s smart to stay flexible. Your goal should be to become the strongest pilot you can be, regardless of which regional gets you there. Hope that helps!

Inside this community you’ll find: ✈️ Step-by-step guidance from zero experience to the airlines 📚 Study resources and training tips 💬 A place to ask questions without judgment 🎥 Live Q&A sessions 🤝 A community of future airline pilots working toward the same goal! ✈️ Meet Our New Moderator: Frontier Airlines FO- John Molnar
Everyone, I’d like to introduce @John Molnar , who will be joining Airline Pilot Blueprint as one of our moderators! @John Molnar and I met while attending ATP Flight School in Tampa, FL, and I’ve watched his journey from day one. His path is exactly what many aspiring airline pilots hope to accomplish: ✅ ATP Flight School Graduate ✅ Built flight time as a CFI/CFII Flight Instructor ✅ Flew aerial survey to gain valuable commercial experience ✅ Now a First Officer at Frontier Airlines flying the Airbus A320 John knows what it’s like to start with zero hours, grind through training, instruct students, build time, and finally earn a seat at a major airline. He’s joining Airline Pilot Blueprint to help answer questions, share his experiences, and provide another perspective on the journey to the airlines. Whether you’re: - Wondering if aviation is right for you - Trying to choose a flight school - Working on your ratings - Building time toward the airlines …John has been exactly where you are. Please join me in welcoming him to the community! 🎉 Drop a comment below and say hello!

❌ Myth: You have to be rich to become a pilot.
✅ Reality: Flight training is expensive, but many pilots finance training, instruct to build hours, or use structured career programs. There are multiple paths to the airlines.
